SHURflo pump

Not trying to cheat any company out of profit but when you try and do stuff on a budget you tend to look into things. What are the opinions on just getting a SHURflow pump that is the same model # that comes in the Alky kit. How modifyed is the pump when you get it from Alky? The pump I have is leaking. To have it rebuilt by Alky is 80 plus shipping. When I see the same model new online for 80.00. Just throwing it out there.

Can't speak for that particular company but I know devils own offers an entire upper valve assembly for $22. So you could buy the pump and put that assembly on it and have a working system for cheap.

thanks for this, mine is leaking too. I was just about to send it to alky but ive been researching rebuilding it myself or finding a cheaper replacement as well

I need to do more searching. If you take the cover off the pump there is a number 8000-543-236. If you Google Shurflo with that number a pump that looks and is described like the one that comes in the kit and is cheaper. And even possible to get the parts to rebuild the pump. Also after taking the pump apart I just do not see where you could modify the pump. Needless to say I am confused some what.
