My buddy owns a 2012 white on black that still only has 20k on it. Stored winters and mint still, looks sweet!!! He drove it to work for 2nd time this year last week and a guy with big truck rubbed his oversized tires on the passenger door that day...ouch

That there is azz-whooping territory.

I take it this is the old 5 speed?  Is the new ZF 8 speed the automatic in the Hellcat?  If the Hellcat's A8 gets installed in all of the 5.7/6.4 cars, should fix that.  Really wish the new Charger R/T kept AWD, love the refresh!

Yes, old 5 speed with paddles. Good news for him. Should've took pic of tire rub (it was bad I thought) as it was wheeled out to perfection.  Guess the monthly waxing payed off on thick layer of protection.

The charger is getting the same treatment too now.
The 2016 SHO needs the ford SC 5.8L motor thats all. :thumb: ... It'll blow all the AMG's, M's, and RS's out the water.

700 lbs lighter is a good start on the SHO.

I have a feeling that due to the new engine bay restraints on the extended cd4 platform the new taurus SHO is going to get the 2.7L EB. I think some ford guys once stated the 3.5L EB wouldnt fit in the CD4. So shed 700lbs and lose a third of the displacement :(

This is unacceptable. ..lol

This would be cool, it's a shame they axed it.

I believe the Ford Edge Sport is slated to receive the 2.7L EB as well.  Will be interesting if the tuned HP/TQ numbers will be different tho.  As for high displacement high powered engines stock from Ford, even the Mustang and F150 offerings are getting slimmed down.  The Mustang may be the last frontier in that respect.

If not Ford, at least Lincoln should get high end powertrains.  That's all I gots to says.

The next gen SHO needs 450HP+ stock to compete with Dodge and Chevy.  Needs to cut 12.5's from the showroom.  Common' Ford!!

Seems to be Ford's plan for saving Lincoln. Gimp ford to make Lincoln more attractive.

Exactomundo!  Pimpmobile, not wimpmobile.

Never going to happen, they don't even advertise the current SHO. Twice in 3 days I had people come up to me and ask "is that a SHO? I didn't know they started making those again". It would conflict with the Stang and MKS. When was the last time Ford made a really high performance sedan? Other than the Falcon which isn't even available to us in North America.

Won't happen. I'm not sure what ford thinks of the sho... but it's seems as though its just a taurus with a little extra package.. not much if any love gets pushed our way. If they really wanted to make it a competitive sports sedan it would of been given more than 365 hp from the start. The sho is never advertised, it's like the adopted child that ford won't talk about. Just sits in the corner...

We will be lucky to even get the 3.5 next time... :(

i got a chance to talk to a ford rep, not that he would know anything, too young & a field rep at our local Ford Fest weekend in STL. was showing my sho, which has been visually modded in every way i can come up with. he was smozzing with us coming by each guys car. when he came to my sho, said well your treatment is not exactly what the ford engineers where thinking about, they wanted it to be a sleeper & yours screams "SHO". my response was simple maybe if ford would have they've have sold more than the 10-12k they have. it's a great car & ford has after 1st year basically ignored it & now word on the street is you're going to castrate it with a 2.7. just shook his head & left. our fordfest was reduced to 2 days this year from 3, i was lone sho, last year ford brought a sho with the other cars, this year no sho. sad!!!

you know,... if they discontinue the SHO in 2016, i would gladly hang on to my current SHO. I would modd the hell out of it to make it competitive with the current GM/Chrysler builds... just to let people know that at one point, Ford did make a decent performance sedan.

That's my plan too, all cars have their quirks. So does my SHO. But it never gets old when someone asks me about it. I'm kinda glad Ford didn't sell that many, makes it unique. With a few simple mods it's hard to beat. We will see but the more I think about it the more I believe that the SHO is dead.

Like ShoBoat mentioned there are not to many SHO around, just speculation i think they sold and made more police package versions than SHO"s and if they discontinue them our cars will only go up in value,LOl

around stl, you see a good amount of taurus police cars in fact we have one that is a resident neighbor PM. he's is the 3.7 flexfuel. we talk occasional as he sees me out detailing my sho & would like to buy it. in our talks said there are view few eco's in st louis county. he said even the explorers are mostly flex's. problem with present taurus is back seat to small. much more room in the explorer. they use more explorers in high crime areas & more taurus in neighborhood residents. as he laughingly says got to keep the bad guys in cuffs comfortable & just doesn't happen in the taurus. if ford makes it smaller will be even a worst fit. stopped by a couple weeks ago when saw my challenger r/t & asked if selling sho he gets first dibbs. not sure what neighbors think since he's stopped by a few times, but no one has asked.
