2 passes thus far... LMS Alky.... car went into limp mode on the third pass... launched it way to high... 2400 RPMs...

Another pass coming with AJPs tune...

AJP tunes... the slow reaction time was attempting to get a good launch down... I spun all the tires off the line according to my buddy... launched around 1800 RPMs...

Same issue with the second run... hooked off the line but at 30 feet the tires broke loose....

OAR was pegged...

All the LMS runs.... 3/4 full tank of gas..

Lower mph but much more consistent being as I can get it to hook off the line.... that one bad 60ft was because the tower said something that had me laughing my ass off... oh well... still took that camaro  SS slp edition for a ride....

FWIW.... no one wanted to run me... the tower started making jokes about no one wanted to lose to a Taurus... This was after I took a mustang gt, camaro ss, BMW 335 twin turbo, and a Chevelle. I must say, the SHO got a lot of respect tonight from the tower and track guys.. everyone kept wanting to know what was done..

My buddy that came with me is my mechanic friend Garrett.. he thinks with a little taller tires and a better suspension I can be knocking on 8 flat if not better at this track... this track does run slow, but the 10 foot elevation from start to finish is not accurate. I talked to the track owner, she said its 2 foot elevation start to finish.

Also the water box was further back tonight so I could avoid it.. tire pressure was 25 all the way around.

Both AJP runs had more mph.  That's the tune that's making power.  Just have to figure out how to get the power to the ground better.

How much? I still say that the LMS shifts were better than AJP's. That is all it would take to be slower.

Posted slips. I would have thought 3 more degrees of timing and 2.5 psi more of boost would have gotten better times... but the issue is getting off the line without spinning... MPH was better though..

It's a notable difference yes... from a roll his tune would blow the LMS tune out of the water... but launching is a problem... I need a suspension upgrade before I try his tune at the track again...

I'm sure the 1/4 difference would be in favor of brads tune since I could roll through a full 3rd gear...

And yes, my buddy said if I could get AJPs tune to hook it would be a sick run...

You definitely are either making a lot of power or the track isn't very good.

Cutting a 1.8 60' in my car wasn't very difficult.  Launched at about 2200 rpm and just held on.  Didn't lower tire pressure and was running on cheap Uniroyal tires.  It's possible that the ability to set my suspension to firm reduces weight transfer some.

Back in the day, I put coil spacers in the rear of my SHO to stop it from squatting and keep the front better planted.  Wonder if that would help our cars?  I wouldn't drive on them long term for fear of them popping out, but they helped at the "track in mexico."

SBS, I love my H&R springs.  They really helped my 60fts and also going to a pure summer tire too.  No need for a taller tire, and remember you need to buy 4.  I have real low 8 1/8 mile times with couple 7.99.  Yes the Livernois tunes are really consitant, esp with the '13+ cars.  Yeah, its funny how people don't want to run a SHO, esp a tuned one.  Nice job.

So it was upwards on 90 degrees when I did my first couple runs, hot as heck! It cooled off a bit by my later runs but I had switched up to the AJP turbo tune.. I am betting based on how well these cars respond to cooler weather that if it had been in the 70's I could have come close to 8 flat with LMS...

AJPTurbos tune puts down stupid power... he also has the boost come in earlier than LMS...I suspected I would have major traction issues with his tune... that why him and I went through 10+ revisions attempting to find a way around the ECU so it can dump more power to the rears like on the 2013+ cars..

I am running Sport Comp 2 max performance summer tires..  not the A/S... they are great tires...

I was squatting really hard off the line.. any suspension upgrade would help..

Ordering something today... just not sure if the hr springs are enough or I need the Coilovers...

The track is a crap local track... its rough and slow...according to everyone there... but it's right down the street..

The only caution with coilovers is if you are in rough roads country you may not want them on all the time ...  Otherwise, just bite the bullet and get coilovers ... LOL!

I love my low boost e30 tune from ajp..no bolt on mods... car is a blast to drive
