Sumerduck with AJPTurbo Tunes

Great night at Sumerduck!!! I roll in a few minutes late and as I am pulling in there is another 2010 Steel Blue SHO sitting in the pits!!! Talk about crazy! They didn't make a whole lot of these that year so it was pretty cool to see another! Turns out it was Steve who goes by TurboCoupe89 on the forum. Really cool dude! And his SHO puts mine to shame with how clean it looks.. not a dent, scratch, or mark anywhere! Beautiful SHO!

So my previous nights were pretty much trying to squeeze what I could out of the LMS "Alky" Tune. This night was 100% AJPTurbo's meth tunes.

-DA was hovering around 1500 all night long
-No weight reduction, full street prep with spare in the trunk
-1/4 Tank of 93E10 only with no additional E blended in.
-Tires at 23PSI on all four corners
-Dampening set to hardest on all four corners
-"Up Hill" track

Still working on getting the launch down, my first run was just to see how the track was prepped and to get a feel for how this tune comes off the line. No brake boosting just granny pedaling it.

Run 3 was TurboBuick's SHO vs my SHO.. It tree'd the F$%K out of me! Apparently I too busy admiring his car.

So switching to AJP's tune trapped faster speeds and netted better ET's by a quite a bit. I am still spinning off the line more than I like, so a little bit more practice getting this thing to squat and go will net much better results I am sure. There is plenty more I believe to get out of this tune which I didn't feel that way about the LMS tune...

Granted this track is not very good but since I started base-lining there, I thought it would only be fair to keep it up until I find what I am looking for. Next stop I believe is going to be either Colonial Beach or MIR for a few 1/4 mile runs.

Those are hellaciously good 1/8 mile times and speeds!  With the springs, I thought you might be a little better in the 60 but that tune hauls heiney after you hook!

Great times!  Even if it were a good track, those are impressive!

Can't wait to see how it does in the quarter!

turbocoupe89 ran almost the identical time that I ran in the MKS.

Hey StealBlueSho!  It was awesome finally meeting another SHO at the dragstrip.  Here's a nice snapshot from our run on the dash cam.  I might have to switch tunes.

Hell ya it was awesome! Dunno why I thought TurboBuick.. lol... sorry about that! Thanks for the snapshot!!! That cam has phenomenal quality! I would ping AJPTurbo..

Sorry I missed you before you left, I went back to look for you but you had rolled out. Probably after that jackwagon blew up off the line and slow rolled down the ENTIRE track spraying fluid EVERYWHERE... then cut across the lanes to get off the track.. so she bojangled both sides... took them an hour to get that track back in order...

That's irritating, but I love your description.  Maybe shorten it so you get jackwagon and bojangled in the same sentence?

"That jackwagon bojangled both lanes."

No problem, I wouldn't mind owning a Grand National either.  The video shows how fast you pull away at the end. LOL

HA: Ahhh A 7's, Very impressive,  I am Going 1/8 Mile Tonight...!

I though I was the Only One that used the TERM: Jackwagon

Early Definition: Freight or Chow wagons used in the late 19th century. These were often the last wagons in a wagon train, making them the least favorable to drive due to the dust, waste, and debris from the front of the train.  AND:  A useless piece of equipment, usually military, used to refer to a mule-drawn freight wagon which had been pieced together from discarded or substandard parts, and subject to frequent breakdowns. Jackwagons typically were good for only one or two uses, then abandoned or discarded along roadsides and in ditches, and were often re-cannibalized to create new jackwagons.

AND of Course the Slang Definition:  http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=jack%20wagon
AND Included Picture of One:  http://www.yourdictionary.com/jackwagon

I use this term more than I care too :P

Hardly.  My oldest son's name is jack and now that he is more grown up and off to college thinking he is "all that" I use it on him all the time.

SBS and AJP!  Sick times you two!!

you're trapping in the 90s at Summer Duck?  Holy cow!

I take you have been there huh?
It's been over 10 years since I've raced, but I used to have a Camaro.

Awesome! I doubt it's changed much! Nothing like going up hill and having to slam on the brakes going down hill after the trap... lol

Good group up there though.
