Not a bad choice...Subaru's are great cars and pretty unmatched in the AWD game, except maybe by Audi. One of my good friends picked up a '15 STi, and it's a rock solid car...a good improvement over his previous '07 and the '10 that I had. If you're considering a WRX...do yourself a favor and give the STi a thought. The 40 extra HP isn't that much, but the rest of the improvements are well worth the extra money (big brakes, bulletproof trans, interior, handling, etc).

Update for anyone that wanted to swap. Most likely won't be happening went to subaru yesterday night and they offered me a pretty good price, so I'll probably be selling it to them. I will have the sct from the car though so that will go up for sale for cheap

Good luck on the new purchase,nothing better than a brand new car,especially know adays used cars are keeping  there value,its better buying it new and good luck,you learn something new everyday in life.

Bummer. No way they'd re-evaluate it at normal ride height? If you change your mind, let me know. I'd be willing to pull my stock stuff off, bring them to you, and help swap them over.

Ford not give you a better value? I know they quoted be $21k for a fairly base '11 with 55k miles.

Nope they said they can't trust that it's installed correctly lol. Silly..but that's carmax. I haven't tried ford.. but I will I guess see what they have to say. I'll Def let you know if things change.

Carmax is weird.  One time, I had them evaluate a minty 97 Ram Air Trans-Am WS6, one that I kept 100% perfect as its second owner.  Its first owner was my dad, who was also extremely good to it.  They claimed that an under-body inspection revealed frame damage potentially, so they will value it around 5k.  LOL, the car was delivered new on a trailer to my father, so I knew they were B.S.'ing.  I sold it in a trade to a dealer across the street for 14k. 

And then at another one, on a whim I decided to test drive some of their sporty coupes, and they insisted to look at my 91 Supra turbo.  It was stripped down in the interior (adding lightness), had tons of mods, hail-damaged exterior, etc and the evaluator put a 4k offer to buy with a "pretty please" and a smiley face.  Methinks the guy really wanted my Supra.  Thing is, I valued it myself around 2k at the time, IF that.

So Carmax is weird, is what I'm saying.  Regular dealerships can be more reasonable but it is always nice to have them take a crack at it.  I've also had relatively good luck selling some cars outright on Craigslist, from both dealers and just regular people.  Sometimes it works.

Almost got a new '15 Legacy 3.6R Limited.  Pretty slick with the new design, especially the interior.  Around $31K for a Limited 3.6R.  Found the SHO with 5500 miles for $30800 and was an easy decision.
