Why is General Discussion locked on Tapatalk?

I cannot create new threads in that forum. This forum is OK, I'm posting from Tapatalk. I can't reply to existing posts, just not creating new.

This board is part of the general discussion boards so you can create a new topic here. You can't create a new topic in just "general category" you have to go one level deeper into General Discussions or New Member introductions to make a topic.

It works now.

I'm using Taptalk 4 Beta--when I look at my forum list;

Lock Icon -- General Category

I click that;

It shows all the forums; New Member Intro, Ride of Month, etc etc. There is a line with "General Discussion" that has a blue lock icon. If I click it; it use to not have the pencil icon; now it does.

Just FYI.

That means there's been posts in that forum since your last visit.
If you mark forum read in tapatalk it will clear it.

No.

That is what bold means. That icon is a lock. I'm at work so I can't zoom in for you. I just went and cleared a forum read (this one to be exact) and all it did was make title not bold.

It's working now. May just be beta bug. I'll check it on my tablet.

OK I took some screen shots to show you how my taptalk works, somebody posts, the icon goes blue with a lock. If I mark it as read or view the topic the lock and blue goes away.
I verified on tapatalk and tapatalk 4 beta.

BTW, I just noticed this isn't a taptalk thing, it's a forum thing. Those are the icons from this skin on SMF. Works the same way on the web page.

Geswek I changed the icons for ya, now it will say NEW for new messages and no lock/unlock icons.
