Thinking about selling coyote and getting a SHO

gonna be a while.  pretty well settled in with the Edge and the Fusion Sport.
I didn't know you had a Fusion Sport.

We had an Blue 11 FWD and a Black 12 AWD which we sold to my Mom when we bought the 1st SHO.

Yeah got it earlier this year ('10, FWD), when wife started driving :D  I told her take the Edge, but she wanted something sleeker and faster LOL.  It is a joy to drive for sure with the comp2 a/s tires on there.

I will want to keep the exhaust not basically stock.  If I changed the hold and cold pipes but didn't change exhaust, how would that effect the sound? I'm ok with hearing the turbo, just not into v6 loud exhaust sounds.

Changing charge pipes won't change the exhaust note.
The biggest intake sound you will notice is with an airraid type intake system. You won't get much if any HP benefits from it.

What Do changing those pipes help? New to turbo cars.

BOV mods give the most obvious sound.  Some sound gain from a K&N intake as well.  Downpipes will give the exhaust a throatier sound, and turboback mods will add to the clarity.

Have ever seen the rubber hoses  at 13-17 psi.....
They look like this lol.

The hard pipes prevent it.

Great description! Makes more sense.

Looks like an M-design. Not totally sure on them, but have heard pretty good things. I think there have been a few revisions to the design however, so it may depend when that one was purchased.

Well... The sho's have electric power steering so no hoses, but I understand what you mean.
Completely different types of hoses. PS pressure hoses are typically rated for  2000 psi or more.
Any expansion in the hose delays the air being forced into the engine intake.

The image that I posted is on a car that I found on the website. I was just trying to find the intake. I did not get a picture of the actual engine of the car that I'm looking at. But if I decide to get it. I will definitely take some pictures and see if there's anything else on there that I missing. I'm totally new to turbo engines. But that being said it runs really really good.

No guarantee, but if it has a CAI there is a decent chance it already has a tune as well, which really wakes the car up. Ask the seller about mods and see what he/she says, but keep in mind they are a double edged sword. You don't have to purchase/install the mods, which is nice, but it also means the car was probably ran harder due to them.

I'm trying to gather more information. It has a Diablo tuner, trying to find out who tuned it. Also meantioned colder plugs I believe. I asked them to send an email to the Seller for me. Asked if it had 3 bar map and 170 thermostat along with the other mods. Car ran great!
