Timing Question

So I know that + KR means ECU is pulling timing and - KR means the ECU is adding timing... BUT does that mean if there is negative KR (say it keeps dropping from -1 to -2 to -3 as you do a 0-100 run) that there is more timing that can be added if the tune is adjusted?

I see all these threads about how the ECU will add timing but if you run -3 KR doesn't that mean you can adjust the base tables to add even more timing?

P.S. - AJP is AWESOME

Yes and I suspect he will change your table max upwards once he deems it safe which will net all your spark right out of the shift change so you don't have to wait on the sensor to ramp up.

Consistent negative KR is like you assumed, more advance can be added. In some cases this can be from getting a better quality fuel, or with E blends, from inconsistency in the amount of Ethanol within the blend. Weather can also cause changes, as the car likes to add when everything is cooler. If you see it consistently in logs, then I suspect Brad will adjust the tune to take full advantage.
