Ahhhh Kennedale..... Lived down by the shooting range there when I went to school in Ft. Worth.... didn't know they had a track.  Of course it's been thirty years. It was out in the boonies then.

Surprisingly its still pretty much out in the boonies, that area hasnt changed too much. and thanks im sure ill need it.
 
Is he running the cam without long tube headers?  Wouldn't make much sense having the cam without long tubes.  224 cam isn't that big at all, but it's got great low and mid range.  I'm wondering if has gears too.

'01 and '02's already had the ls6 intake manifold so not really a mod.

I'd love to see this.
 
Race postponed a few weeks now. Saw him run a best of 8.37 practicing. I'm pulling low 8.20s and the DA is still dropping.

His third pass he broke something in the rear had to be towed off the line.
 
Fun night even though my race never happened, Got my buddy to come out with his 13 5.0 and ran several passes against him, best time of the night wasnt a record breaker

I didn't read the entire thread but I don't thnk you're going to beat a cammed / exhaust LS1 WS6 with drag radials. When my 2000 GT made 376 RWHP I ran my buddy in his 2001 Z28. He had longtubes and custom true duals, the air lid and drag radials. He ran a 12.45 I ran a 13.1. I ran on worn street tires but launched OK. He immediately put 4-5 lengths on me when the light turned green. Oh and he was auto with a stall converter too. Those cars can be really nasty with little work. With a cam and drag radials I'd say he knows what he doing. Good luck let us know how it goes !
 
I think if he manages to hook up and get a decent rt he'll beat me. And I imagine he's putting a 9 bolt and 4.10s in it now. So I'm gonna pull the trigger on dp's and maybe third cat delete in the downtime. I'd go meth but no time to drive up to lms for tuning. I don't think they have a canned meth tune do they

I found out later that kid was a friend of my friend and he was bitching to him the next day about how he got whooped by this big ass black car--then I posted youtube video and my friend was like "OH SHITE, that's my buddy...blah blah"
