Holy poop .... whats that on ?
The sho. With meth. Didn't have any knock.... but. Seems excessive lol.

Is it accurate?
Also, are you running a 3bar tune?
Yeah its accurate within 1-2. I am using the 3 bar.

:) I'd be happy with that boost.

What's the spark advance looking like at that boost level?
I can send you the log file if you would like? PM me your email address.
Pm inbound. :)

Planning to put some ARP hardware on the heads, wasinger?  That's some serious boost, hopefully just a spike value?  Outdone 4DR I think :D

That's comforting.... hah. Well if she hold then I guess it's a beast. If not.. I know what I'm going to be spending all my money on. It is just a spike after the shift. Normally is around 18-19 mid gear. I sent torrie the log so hopefully it all checks out.

Is there a known highest psi someone has reached? I'd like to know if I'm breaking some records. Hah.

18-19 should be fine, but I think at or just beyond the max efficiency levels for these wee snails.  Bigger turbos would be a better bet, better seals, less boost needed to get to same power levels.  Maybe bpd can elaborate on his newest setup?  Otherwise I don't know of an established record psi for this engine/turbo setup.  But better bolts/studs keep you from raising the roof the wrong way, if you plan to run these levels longterm.

I'd prefer not to tear into this motor at 20k just yet. Maybe down the road I will. I'll ask torrie to keep it within safe levels. What is the highest psi the 3 bar sensor reads?

per wiki ..... 1 bar is 14.5038 psi  so a 3 bar could read up to 43.5114 psi.

https://www.google.com/url?q=http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bar_(unit)&sa=U&ei=vFIgVOq7BIPYoATe8YGoCA&ved=0CBEQFjAD&usg=AFQjCNFn5jkgnchmeGLlP6gO3mYoqoZIJg

I know atmospheric pressure is 14.695 which would be 1 bar. Wonder if that plays into any of this or if the sensors are calibrated for atmosphere. Either way he should be able to see the pressure.

Actually, the usable psi regarding boost is 14.7 psi with a 2-bar, and 29.4 psi with a 3-bar.  You have to subtract the atmospheric pressure of 14.7 psi (=1 bar).  So a "2 bar" is a 1 bar boost pressure sensor, "3 bar" is a 2 bar boost pressure sensor.  So the 23.x reading you are getting should be accurate with the 3 bar in place.

Just edited my post asking that. I assumed there would be a differential from absolute to atmosphere. Wasn't sure how the sensors are set up.

Id like to see my engine on a dyno when it hits 23 psi. I know on some of the 1500hp twin turbo engines you can see the whole thing swell up. Intake and charge tubes look like they want to burst. I might blow a charge tube at some point if this keeps up.

If you are only spiking to those levels, doing a regular spot check on the clamps & hoses should keep you safe.  Would your car look even cooler with the hardpipe pkg?  Take a look at BiGMaC's or bpd1151's SHO engine bays - no room for doubt!

And I saw you update your profile pic :thumb: tho I do miss the Stang.

Where do you get 1 bar as 14.7 psi ..... every where I look I find 14.5 ish ? ! ?

Its either hard pipes or down pipes that are next on my list. I do miss the stang but the sho makes up for it in all the right ways. Just wish there was a bigger aftermarket scene like the stang has. You could change just about anything on a stang hah. With the sho you are lucky to even be able to change oil. Id love for some better traction mods up front. Either way i thought the pikes peak pic was worth using.

The price of a sleeper I suppose!  It is fun to be able to develop new mods though!

That is true. Right now I'm in the process of having some custom meth hoses made.

Do you know at what point the paper filter has reached its flow limit? I'm not sure if i should switch to a high flow of some kind.

Not sure... But I do know that at 5K miles the Dyno showed +/- 3WHP with the filer box on and original filter vs completely disconnected with air intake directly into the open end of the saxophone over 9 pulls.  I live on a dusty unpacked road too.

I can spare 3 hp for a cleaner engine. Thanks for the info!

We need to figure out a way to put in a fusion-powered wood chipper of sorts in the intake to ninja blade any dirt/debris to atomic particles.
