Knock and waste gate duty cycle are clearly in the configurable options.

When looking on the device itself, i did not see either.  Are you saying i can plug it to the PC, in live link then configure?

If you are in the car and watching the datalog guage readout, you can use the arrow keys to highlight the current gauges, mine uses a red outline.  Hit the center button and it will bring up a list of parameters that can be viewed.  Select the one you want and it will replace the highlighted gauge.  I have knock displayed on mine all the time.

Don't you have to have the laptop and the device all hooked up to do all that though.  I just wanted the device to display KR and WGD so i could just live monitor.  I don't want to have to lug my laptop around every time, do a full log WOT and mess with all that.  I just want to hold the SCT, look at a few parameters live while driving.

Also, 1st to 2nd shift seems awfully rough, IIRC that could be tune related?
Yes, have torrie dial it back a bit. I had that issue on the 2013, 2015 is perfect.

And no what he is talking about is on the scanner. Use the arrow keys to move over a gauge and hit the red button. It will open a scrolling menu for you to choose a new gauge in that spot.

Hey guys, when configuring a data log file, please tell me you can just add boost_PSI like whats just on the device?  I have created two now and cant get plain ole boost in PSI to be a data point.  I'm feeling like a tard and frustrated.

Are you having a hard time finding boost or getting it to display in psi?

Scroll over to the units and most have a drop down box to change it.

Oddly rear fuel pressure doesn't which drives me nuts

I took the MAP from KPA to PSI and it's no where near the same as just the pre-loaded (Ford 08-newer)configurations "boost_PSI".  I looked at the Config Torrie sent and even created my own to see them all and out of the 2 i thought to change from KPA to PSI, neither give me a good reading, like the other.

Click list at the top and in the search bar at the right and enter boost

There is a boost pressure at the bottom in miscellaneous, cant change the unit though

Fomo, get rid of rear fuel pressure..not sure what that is...I used to log that until I found the obd pid "fuel rail pressure"..u have to make available all the pid's..u can log it in psi....I think the rear pressure is at the high pressure pump but before rail...it's too high to be the low side from the tank.

Jdw1 u are probably displaying psi in absolute...in the drop down see if there is "/psi that might be what u want..I usually log kpa for boost...below 102 is vacuum....200 is about 15ish

I'm talking for live link gen 2....I always use a laptop...pain but better..unless u can load a confit to the device..I've never done that...I love the graphs and features of the logging software by sct

There is also tip prs boost.

IDK if that shows ambient pressure combined with boost, I think that's what Torrie uses but it can also be selected in PSI.

I think it is like Torque where there is 2....

Rear is at the pump, rail is actually rail, hence the higher pressure than the pump allows.

My understanding is the pump is 2150 max not to exceed 3 on the rail.

2750 on the rail makes me horny...

I can see if I selected absolute and if there is another drop down but this is terribly annoying.  I hate logging with a laptop in the car, mouse hovering over the start/stop log buttons while approaching 100 mph.  I just want to log from the device, one hand it with the button and be done, thats what I did with my AP and it stored multiple logs on the device. The parameter should be just like the factory setting, boost in PSI, why is that so dang hard..

I wouldn't worry about that, there is enough memory for some excess before and after.

I start a little early cause I've been having some lag

I wouldn't really log tip unless u are doing some advanced diagnostics...that is the map sensor pre throttle body...it will confuse u a bit...u want manifold pressure

Interesting that HPFP fuel pressure stays up above 2000 psi even when the throttle drops back halfway.  Don't know if that if that means anything, but on logs from other SHOs, that is not the case.

It was WOT the whole time, it just shifted on me. Also, can you add a PID to a config?

Pm me ur email and I'll send you the config I use

Yea u can..it will ask u if u want to merge the items when u go to the menu to add more pid

Well i figured it out.  Here are the steps. 1: Load your config file from Torrie 2: Click guide me 3: Create a config file 4: Select communication CAN KPW2000 (this is key) make sure "load complete list" is selected below as well 5: Click select items 6: Scroll down to turbo and select turbo boost 7: Select configure datalog, name it and save it. 8: Select Export DLF/DLX, select X4, name it and export. 9: Open SCT updater and select the DLX config file and there you have it.

All that just to get boost in PSI to show up with your custom config file.  SMH

The car throttling itself is just something it will do at times to control boost....Torque tables most likely need work. In the tune the commanded torque and airflow must match. If they don't the throttle will fluctuate....It gets complicated

The log looked ok. Knock activity was good. I suspect that was a preliminary log. The throttle will open eventually but if it fluctuates don't worry about it. I suspect you also will be getting more boost as torrie dials the car in.

You don't have to stop the log as soon as you are done pulling....Let it go until it's easy for you to stop it...It's easy to find the section of WOT and zoom in on it. You can start it sooner also...Go ahead and let it pull 1st through whatever...The more data the better...You didn't really start until 4k in 3rd and barely got into 4th.

She is barely breaking a sweat yet
