So finally, a bright spot in what's been a tumultuous, roller coaster of a month.

The new ATP +2 Turbos were delivered to my doorstep today, compliments of FedEx!

I have to personally send out HUGE thank you's to 4DRHTRD, Darreli, as well as to all the fine staff over at Advanced Tuning Products (ATP) for having arrived at this momentous occasion!

Thank you to each/all of you for the respective/integral roles you each played! :thankyou:

Seriously though....

Now as dorky as I felt, I asked my youngest to grab the iPad, and record me opening these and viewing them for the first time.

So here's the video of that ------>

Along with some timely stills/snapshots for each of you to feast your eyes upon:

So, I am tentatively slated to install these beginning this coming Monday, October 21st, 2013.

Pretty damn excited to say the least.

Nice camera work :)  I think you should test-bed them on your vacuum cleaner though, just to test the effectiveness on those annoying peanuts!

Looking forward to you installing yours so I can see what they do on the stock fuel system.

Can thank my youngest for her camera work. Haha.

Yes 4DR, stock fuel system, but supplemented with 100% Methanol. So not entirely stock, but nothing anywhere near as exotic as your set up by any stretch of the imagination.

Ought to be interesting for sure.

Xmas in October for sure..... and thanks Dave, I am glad to have received them too! :ok:

I've already got my appointment with Matt for install next Monday.

I know that Matt will do a great job!  Not to mention, he's a great guy.

Look great, hope the install goes smoothly and I'm looking forward to your review of the upgrade! BTW, looks like you survived the surgery with no ill after effects!

Other than a lil left over chipmunky puffy face.... haha.

Damn its true what they say about the camera adding 10 pounds.

OK, now that I have seen Mike for real--yeah I'm never going near him.

He is just screaming "Throw Storm on trunk and check him for illegals!"

LMAO

So happy for you Mike, I will definitely have to get up there in future to see how she runs with upgrades!!!

Ha! Storm..... you'd be pleasantly surprised to learn how easy, approachable, and down to earth I really am.

I wouldn't toss you onto the trunk.

But yes, would love to have you come out some point in the future.

That'd be cool.

I know, I just like busting your balls. :)

Definitely, I'll plan out a run up next year in the Spring time--come up for few days, go see Livernois, and visit you. I definitely want a ride when the new turbos go in. I'm still in the air on doing more to SHO after another 20k miles or so.

SAY AGAIN????

Welp, today's the big day.

Day 1 of this project.

Just wish my schedule, and that of my mechanic friend's was able to jive a lil more closely.

I'm heading into the surgeon's office here shortly, for my post-op appointment, and I see no reason why he's not going to re-release me back to work.

As such, I am (conveniently) scheduled to work both tonight, and tomorrow night. Considering I've been off work sick for nearly 3 weeks, trying to pull a 12hr overnight shift is needless to say, going to be a tough go.

Therefore, my involvement in this turbo swap isn't going to be anywhere near as involved as I would prefer, or like it to be.

Still, I'll try to get in a few hours today, and perhaps Tuesday and Wednesday as well. We'll see how it goes.

I do plan on leaving my smaller digital camera with him, and hopefully he'll be mindful of snapping off a few pics here and there as the process unfolds.

I know he was leaning towards dropping the entire engine to access the turbos more easily. Yikes!

Wish us luck.

For making it easier getting to the turbos I was thinking about supporting the motor as it is from across the strut towers then remove the engine cradle with the car up on a lift. I'm curious to see what your friend comes up with. I need to get under and look better at everything but so far that's how Im thinking about doing it.

I sent 4DR all the info from my(2010) Ford Flex manual(s) on removing the turbos sometime back.  As I recall, Ford shows removing the cradle, but know 4DR didn't have to do that.  Perhaps he can chime in.

Front turbo comes right out, rear turbo requires you rotating it behind the engine. I had a video of it but it was wiped when I reset my phone. :(
No reason to drop the cradle at all, pretty easy to do with the car on a lift.

Yea, I remember 4DR saying he didn't (have to drop the cradle).

So IDK. I yield to my mechanic friend for ultimate guidance.

I know he was himming and hawing about how to go about it.

So we'll see.
