Vintage Ford Repair Advertisement....

Thought I'd share with the community. My Father (God bless him and his recent retirement).....
Came across this and emailed it to me. It's an old, vintage mailer, sent one a 1-cent postcard via USPS, which is an advertisement for car repair's way back then.

Notice there's not even an address on it! Just simply a name, and town/state only. Good Lord!

Thought some of you might find it interesting. Nostalgia is often pretty cool! :ok:

I do remember small Texas towns even into the '50s only needed a name and town name... but we did pay 2 cents (instead of 1) for the postcard.

What if you could have gotten these prices on your LME engine build!?!
 
$20 to $25 for engine overhaul!  Nowadays it costs that much in gas just to get to the repair shop. That is cool though. My Grandpa bought a 1921 Maxwell truck. The manual said you should pull over and shut off the engine if you see a horse on the road!
