So the wife wants to get better mpg. So I'm thinking about a cat back for a little better flow and a tune. But the wife doesn't want it any louder. So do you guys have any suggestions?

Torrie at Unleashed tuning can also build a tune that is optimized for mpg.

he also asked about MPG

going to hide now :)

oh wait that being said if you change the exhaust you probably want to tweak the tune to ensure the best performance including MPG. Less restriction has to equal more MPG too. Borla catbacks aren't loud in fact if you keep or run a resonator you should be able to keep the loundnees in check, or more so if you go with a louder cat back system  / muffler.

I had a local shop put in Magflow x-pipe and 2.5"cat back with my 2.5" Dynomax mufflers for $500! With great performance sound but I can disconnect them and put my stock muffler back on (in 30min) for road trips with the wife and it sound stock.

Personally I like a little noise. But since this is the wife's car. It need to be as quite as stock. There has to be some way to get more flow without the noise.

Side note: When I park my truck in the garage, it vibrates the whole house. One of the reasons why I don't think she wants a loud or louder than normal car.

If a local shop do a cat-back with stock muffler add to the end of 2.5" pipes you will feel the power without the noise.
