EXCUUUSEEE MEEEE.... I forgot you are just one big German Prick.

Please... Grow up... Please...
Bob I shot you an email.
People let's play nicely, no calling other members Ricer, prick, stupid etc. Let's act as if.
Act as if your Mom and Dad are watching over you.
Act as if you were standing in front of the person and they are the same size and just as strong and/or as good a fighter as you are.
Act as if you would be standing in front of your kids saying what you are saying.

That being said, Storm, you keep this forum lively I like that just please keep from slamming people.
Bob, you have YEARS of awesome work on various cars and I want you to be a contributor but you can't just log in after a few weeks absence and call Geswek (Storm) a prick. Please come back, contribute and play nicely.

1st and last warning you two, play nice with each others and between yourselves. Use the ignore button on their forum profile if you don't want to see their posts. Myself and the other admins will keep people in line.

Love you all!

I wouldn't expect anything less from Bob. He only says those things because deep down inside he cares about me.

Fine, next time someone asks about a part clearly made by the Honda Rice Crew, I'll give them a diplomatic response about how blah blah bad it is for the SHO.

Sent from a mobile, I think.

*sigh*

I guess I must keep my clown outfit on after my shift ends, and play Police here, albeit in a voluntary manner.

Behave you two, or I'll be inclined to bend you both over and administer some not so playful bare bottom spankings.

Hahaha.

Holy Baby Sheep

I'm going to sleep on that note.

That was excellent.  Especially since I never seriously considered weapon r as an option. But I thought maybe someone out there has some experience with them, and I was just doing my due diligence. I am a Mustang guy who never thought in a million years he'd own a V6. But now I do. So I am new to smaller displacement, turbos, AWD (not 4X4), automatic trans, etc.  So I will probably ask a dumb question here or there.  But I take my rides seriously and take advantage of the knowledge and experience of others.  And for the record, I eat rice, I don't drive it.

I have back to back passes at the track stock vs airaid and I lost .2 and 2mph switching back and forth repeatedly in one track outing. Definitely lost .2 and 2mph (around 20HP)

you lost .2 with the Airaid??? or stock?
I was thinking of the Airaid for sound and looks for sure.. but not if it loses power!

I use the stock box with a K&N panel.  And, cut a section out of the hood weatherstripping in front of the scoop.  Cheap, easy and highly functional.

Update-Swapped in a Typhoon today.

Id like to chime in here. I'll concede that the stock box is probably a better sealed option. I have been one of the few that went the K&N route b/c of the looks vs the airaid. I have found that the K&N gives a better "woooosh" sound on turbo spool up and according to torque it seems to keep the measured IATs equal or slightly below (by 0.1-0.4 degrees lower) than ambient while in motion.

I have zero experience with airaid and zero experience (measured with torque) on the stock box.

I enjoy the sound and looks of the K&N intake better than the stock or airaid.

The "heat soak" is definitely there. If I idle for more than a few minutes the IATs definitely get higher than the ambient temps,  but I think that's a small trade off for the sound. To be honest im anal about idling,  id rather just sit with the car off than idling on.

Id like to think that the K&N is a great platform to mod like mike (BPD) has done with his (non K&N setup despite the similar base looks) custom intake to seek colder air options.

/cheers

P.S. I demand beer for my opinions,.........or else.

I've really been wanting to hear what the k&n sounds like.  I'd love to hear a nice spool up sound on accel...
