It can be done from the
Top but based from your oil life monitor would personally start changing your motor oil more frequently at roughly 5k intervals would be ideal IMO and curious if the sound goes away after changing your motor oil.
I'm just hoping your using a high quality full synthetic oil and would personally recommend using Amsoil or Redline along with a Motorcraft FL-500S oil filter especially 9-10k intervals.
BTW also Check your oil Dipstick to make sure its full!!
What type of motor oil and filter are you using? sorry for all the questions simply just trying to help ya out. Z
