I was wondering what type of motor oil you guys and gals are using?
Please feel free to share your personal experience so we can enlighten the masses.

I have mostly used Redline 5w-30 Full Synthetic Motor Oil throughout the vast majority of ownership since 8/13.

°The first year I used Amsoil signature series with a one year subscription for $25.00 but with a high quality oil came a high price which included shipping charges plus sales tax. Z

Royal Purple - High Performance Street.

5W20. Religiously since 1st oil change.

Started with Motorcraft full synthetic since it was free from the dealer with a CPO.  After a poor analysis switched to Mobil 1Extended Performance.  All has been in 5w-30.  I'm due for an oil change very soon.  If I'm not feeling poor, I'll send off a sample to Blackstone to see if it's an improvement.

Motocraft full synthetic

Thinking about hopping on one of these mobile 1 synthetic deals though.

How often are you changing oil? And do you change oil after going to the track?

Nah, I've never changed the oil after track time.

I have however (& some may chastise me for such an interval) but I've generally get it done anywhere within the 3k to 3,500k range.

Seems to have worked well for me thus far.

Amsoil Signature Synthetic 5w-30.  I've only owned the car a couple months, and did the oil change very recently.  Seems great so far, but I haven't even gotten to the first change yet.

Mobil 1 high mileage 5w20 and a motorcraft fl500s filter

Car's at 152k miles and still running like the day i got it

Group III oils are for people who are afraid of the best so needless to say I don't run any of that crap.

And I also will never buy any motorcrap(Motorcraft) filters after I saw a bunch of them at Autozone for 4.99$ I believe you get what you pay for. :rofl2:

You could have gotten them on rockauto for $4 and saved yourself a dollar

Royal Purple HPS 5w/20. Worked well so far.

When it was at the dealership for the warranty work, they did an oil change so I assume it got changed to motorcraft. Never asked me or anything. I need to double check my paperwork to see if they used synthetic or not. I will be changing back at about 3.5K.

So 5w-30 is what the 2015 uses. Just got mine so havent changed the oil yet as it was done just before I bought it.

What filter model #s or preference does everyone have? I am assuming these are like mustangs and everyone has their favorite one.

TIA

I think the vast majority of members use the Motorcraft Fl -500s oil filter but ultimately it's a personal preference. Z
