Where to buy a jack and jack stands?

I'm looking for a jack and a set of jack stands that are cheap but not Harbor Freight level garbage. Where should I get them, what kind should I get, and how much should I spend?

I have 2 Pro Lift Floor Jacks and 4 Pro Lift Jack Stands.  I bought them 4 years ago, so the price isn't fresh in my mind.  Did a quick search, looks like 30 bucks per stand, maybe 100 to 150 for the jack depending on the 2 ton or 3.5 ton.  They have worked flawless for me, hell I even jack up my Dually with them.

As long as the car doesn't fall on me while I'm changing oil or rotating tires.

As far as changing oil, you might also look at ramps, most are around 50 at places like pep boys.  Could get some wheel chocks to go with it, might give you piece of mind while under the car.

I made ramps out of 2x10's... Stacked 2 on top of each other sawed an angle on one end.. 3 inches is prefect for changing oil.. They take up less space than ramps

Just bought a 3 ton rapid pump steel jack from Harbor Freight, seems great.

I certainly agree Wasinger,at almost 4400 pounds facing you personally always use a couple of jack stands for precautionary measures no matter what type of jack.  Z

I have a question, where the heck do you put jack stands on this car. Im currently painting the rims. I found 2 places to put them on the front and I am just using 2 jacks on the back to hold it up and a stack of 2x4s for backup, been there for 2 days and the jacks haven't leaked down

I'v had these Rhino ramps for quite sometime now, great for many uses on the car such as changing the oil, coolant, etc, great constructive quality for the price and proudly made in the USA.  Z      http://www.amazon.com/RhinoGear-11909-RhinoRamps-Vehicle-Capacity/dp/B006EGAIII/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1434373731&sr=1-1&keywords=rhinoramps&pebp=1434373763000&perid=6EF4CB0698FF4121BC79
Z... Not problems rubbing on the when driving the front on?
To be honest you will get a very minor rubbing only when entering the ramps, usually setup the ramps in front of the tires and hit the ramps with a rubber mallet for security purposes. Z
