ITV22 or ITV20TT spark plug.

I did some digging and found some old threads about spark plugs and the main discussion is what the gap should be.

well going with what i thought i knew i ordered me a set of colder plugs, DENSO ITV22's. I know a lot of you are partial to the NGK/motorcraft/ what ford supplies. but i have my brand loyalties where applicable.

after talking with livernois, i was urged not to use the colder plugs, as the way the 3.5 gtdi is engineered they don't need to be colder, just gapped according to your tune. enter the next contender, the ITV20TT stock heat range, irridium 0.4 electrode and platinum 0.7 ground. the 'latest and greatest' if you will although not available in a colder range. balance between performance and economy; lasts 100,000 miles, blah blah blah, some users even report gains in MPG. after a bored morning on amazon, i now have 6 of each plug in a box with a feeler guage on the way to gap.

I'm about 78% sure i'm going to go with the ITV20TT's. after my xsport hits like 10 or 15 thousand and is tuned.

thoughts? opinions?

Don't need colder plugs for routine tuned levels, true.  But if you are heading towards a high-powered application like bpd's, colder plugs can be very helpful.

what/who is bpd? i don't want anything too crazy. gonna keep Daily status but do just enough to do some spirited driving and maybe hit the drag strip a couple times in the summer. i wouldn't mind seeing a mid 13 for as heavy as the xsport is but im not gonna be disapointed if i don't get there.

Bps has an awesome '10 SHO putting down 617 AWHP... I believe it is currently the most powerful, the fastest, and the quickest SHO on the planet... If not it's Very close.

I get a sub 4sec 0-60 using MC OEM SP 534 plugs in my show.... Just regapped to .029 for the tune. She is my DD.
