Wtf Did I do to my sho? New exhaust makes my car sound like a rice burner

Anyone have a spare SCT laying around they can send him? If I had one I'd send it to you so I could look at a datalog and see what's going on.  Or just give Torrie some love and he would let you know.

If you have a laptop and a ELM cable or wifi or Bluetooth dongle you could use Forscan to log. I have used it extensively and it works pretty well. Forscan is free. And now you can even toggle items like the fans to come on.

Wow are you serious?...that really does suck man. I simply would not be able to deal with a company that refused to look at a single data log...or tell me that there are tons of tunes out there.seems kinda rude in a way

I'm pretty fed up at this point. I bought the plugs from LMS & checked the gap to make sure they were at .030... most of them were .030 - .031. They said the could have been damaged in shipping or dropped which would "cause them to be off". I paid $90.00 for these things. WRAP THEM IN BUBBLE WRAP.

So what happened when you went back to stock? Did you drive it at all? Curious to know what happened.  Who is the 93 2 bar DP tune from? Good idea to check the 3bar sensor....
They give you 5 tune files when you get the LMS device. Stock, 91 2bar, 93 2bar, 91 3abr, 93 3bar. The stock ran alright... I threw a CEL after about 10 miles of driving and had some weird shifts / hesitation between gears.

I'll give Torrie plenty of love if I can get in touch with him and get this figured out. I do my Tangents Daily Videos and I do have a growing list of followers.

I'm going to buy a device from http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/home.oap ... If someone could give guidance as to the best device that isn't over $100 to use.... that would be good. I can spend more but I see my car as a giant money pit at the moment and I'm a little bitter having to spend more money to figure out SOMEONE ELSE"S TUNE. As I digress.

/rant /vent /soapbox.

I can understand your frustration, I had a similar experience to yours not too long ago. If you get a Bluetooth dongle I recommend this one.

https://www.scantool.net/obdlink-mx.html

It will give you access to pretty much all the modules and if you happen to track the car it will let you do cool stuff like this.

With Forscan and this dongle you can also get DTCs from modules that you would otherwise not be able to.

I didn't want to get into the tuner issues in fear of getting lambasted my a certain person here.....but, if you give Torrie a call or even an email, he will respond immediately! He's great to work with! I would give him a try.

Is Torrie = Unleashed Tuned?

I have an SCT X3 3000 device if that would help you log??  Idk how the SCT tuners work so......

I would be willing to sell it outright as well.  It was purchased through Torrie/Unleashed Tuning for my 2013 SHO.  Never really used it much, preferred LMS.

Yep torrie = unleashed tuning......He is a good dude. I'm trying to think of an instance where people have weird, intermittent, or unresolved tuning issues and can't really do it.

However, you can't call torrie, only email correspondence. Kinda sucks but I think it has to be like that for his sake

I'm pretty critical and Torrie passes my tests....Basically you get at least daily tune updates if not multiple updates if you are logging with him.

He did over 20 tune revisions when I tuned with him before to complete the tune to his liking and even added the custom parts that I wanted in the tune.

I was very critical in my tune as well. Did 4 revisions for me with my shift points and drivability. Great guy to work with. It actually amazes me how fast he responds. Let him know what issues you are having and what mods you want to stick with. Good luck. Keep us updated!

Quick update as I am driving .... lol... Sputter is back with 2 bar tune at WOT... Yay me.

I have two things I'm going to be trying...

Just thinking that since the 2 bar ran fine for a minute...maybe you're getting some extra CAC crap sucked up.

Would definitely check stock tune setup.

Any DTC'S at all through the tuning device?

Rich

I ran the stock tune and it was fine... No popping, quacking, or studdering etc at WOT.

The only DTCs I was getting were from the rear 02 Sensor for efficiency.

I'm getting my stock down-pipes installed today... I am also having the muffler place check the work. I have a feeling that the rasp is from bad gasket or something in those lines.

I'll let everyone know how that goes.

Checking the cac is a good idea, excess oil being sucked up may cause a misfire at high boost. Also one thing I didn't realize you are running the k&n intake. Ensure that the air filter is clean and not over oiled. Good luck at the muffler shop!
