13 SHO in the 11's on stock fueling with PUMP fuel!

Went out on C20 instead of pump fuel couldn't cut a good 60 foot time but here is every run from that day.

Track prep just wasn't there but I had a great time with a bunch of friends!

So you are running 116mph on stock turbos without meth? I understand what c20 is, but that’s a rather large bump in power on 105 octane. Either way impressive runs

Yep she ran 113 on e30 and 117 was the highest I saw on c20. I'm really curious to see what it will do once the da is more near 1000 on a sticky track. Looking into getting some wheels and tires that might give me a bit more traction over the stock 19." No methanol here but I'm sure that would make the car so much more happy considering lowest pre run intake temp I saw was about 120 after soaking  the intercooler with some ice water

Honestly I'm just curious at how far I can get with out methanol, nitrous, upgraded hpfp and atp turbos. Just kind of want to see what's possible once the weather cooperates

I’m curious as to how fast I can go without meth to but you are seriously kicking my tail lol. I’ve only run my car at full weight though. Also I just started tuning with ajp as well I only have revision 1 on there now and it feels really good.

I must say this weight reduction thing has got me really curious as to where Id be at.  And to take a step further I think it would be cool to gut it and add a roll cage, light weight racinging seats, even an aluminum hood.  4 street drag radials on each corner.  Basically a full time street/drag car.  Racing seats would accommodate the occasional passenger.

Probably cheaper set up than atp turbo upgrades.  Lol!

Weight reduction is free and easy to do may as well amirite?

It most certainly is free and I think it's overlooked this day and age.  I can hear the gears in my head turning lol

I think its a great idea.  Id like to keep the weight off a permenant version.  Yet functional.  No back seats but with two front racing seats or something.  Hmmmm.  Like a professional race car interior you know?  I'd give up some weight and ass massagers for that!

Meh....imo if you want a dedicated race car... buy/build a dedicated race car. What makes these cars great is their sleeper power combined with being fully equipped.  Take away all the luxury items and you just have a slow drag car. Imho.

It would be cool for this platform I think.  Not sure how far you're imagining in your mind the weight reduction would be.  Have you ever had a nice racing steering wheel and front racing seats before in a car?  I have and it's actually nice.  Maybe a light weight battery, two light racing front seats, ditch the rear seats perhaps.  Keep the stereo and everything.  Maybe 200 pounds lighter.  Sounds like a nice rendition to me.  I know that might not be for everyone.

I was speaking in terms of this platform only.  In a way it seems its destined to be a slow drag car no matter what.  Will this platform ever see 10's or 9's?  Maybe 10's.  Anything that takes it to the next level, IMO is worth it.

There are always one-offs.  Been done with a Gen 2, so why not Gen 4/5. Go for it, but complete the project.  Don't be quitting halfway and crying/moaning about how difficult it is.  LOL.

The crying will be when all the work is done and the PTU makes pretty noises 1/2 way thru the 1st pass (if it makes it that far with power to run 10's..)
:nuclear:
Honestly could be fun trying though, get a "totalled" Gen 4/5 cheap and start hacking.

Lol I'm slightly aghast over this.  So...am I somehow doing this now because I mentioned I thought it would be cool to have a race interior?

Honestly not much crying that I can hear except all the cries over what I said.

Over how hard it is to...replace some seats?  And maybe a steering wheel?....didnt know that was hard?

Did the short bus stop and pick you guys up over this subject...short bus is rocking now.

On the edge of losing respect over how childish as well as ignorant the comments have been thus far, but by all means keep going ...let the moronic train drive ....maybe even itself.

Lmfao jeez ppl.  Time of the Month or what?  And I wondered if there were any females on this forum..

I mean there is something to be said for furthering the platform in anyway you can. I mean some people have spent thousands on built motors and set records. Why not start at the bottom see what the platform can do in relatively stock form and improve from there. A little weight reduction that takes tops of an hour to even take the exhaust completely out as well as the rear seat, front seat and the trunk junk isn't going to hurt anybody. I don't go to the track full interior because that doesn't provide the best times. If you are going to the track for a good time then why not get every little bit you can? I mean considering these cars can be had for under 10 thousand dollar anymore you are going to see more and more of these hosh posh slapped together projects coming up. It happens with every platform. My car has 115,000 miles on it and I don't specifically care about the resale or the condition of it as long as I am having fun with it. It's not brand new by any means. If something explodes along the way sit back analyze and improve on what you have. I would like to go methanol, hpfp, big turbo in the future as the car depreciates to the point of no return you may as well have fun along the way.

I agree with you.  For the record as I am in agreement I may or may not do something similar.  No matter what its my car and I'll do with it as I wish.  Everyone has different ideas and visions so by sharing them we can perhapa adopt some or not or even modify an idea to our liking.  And it just very well may be a SHO drag car is a slow drag car but thats irrelevant.  We all compete with other SHO's for the most part.  So in terms of that anything is game.  And in the real world even 11.54 is slow already.  11.54 gets trampled on daily at the track.  But for our SHO's its cool and awesome!  But always more than one way to skin a cat to get there so to speak.

I think everyone needs to come in for the real thing... hug it out... take a xanax... sing some wholesome songs...
