AJPTurbo Meth Tune.

These are on the street with street tires..

With Brads E20 tune BEFORE meth, without launching, I was at about 4.5.. with launching I was 4.1 all day long...

With the last meth rev, without launching, I am at 4.2.. I have not brake boosted a launch yet... traction is a real issue with amount of torque I suspect is getting put down the wheels... that 4.2 was spinning front and some rear tire slippage I suspect..

I might need to see if Brad can find away to control the load for launching...lol...

No, I am not using the wastegate mod as Brad has mentioned... long story behind that... thought I was selling the car to a buddy...

Meth is doing fine supplementing the fuel so spikes are not affecting the rail pressure...

0-90 is about 7.8 seconds... which is quick... once I get off the line it pulls like a freight train....

Honestly.. I am concerned about how much power is being pushed through the transmission/PTU... so I am going to be keeping the launches for when it means something... like race day...

I also suspect I am being limited by my suspension.. the rear is dipping pretty hard which isn't helping my traction up front. 35psi in the tires all the way around... so no adjustments made for and actual dig...

As always, Brad is fantastic to work with.
AWESOME!  I did a 0-60 test with livewire a few weeks back and got 4.56 not launching.

Now I am really looking forward to getting my Meth kit installed and tuned! Thanks SBS and AJP!

I messaged him about a meth tune for mine but he never messaged me back. I'd be very interested in working with him. Let us know how it goes

How is the tune progressing?

Extremely well, got some more testing to do. I am out of pocket all week... so no updates until Friday...

Again.. I cannot speak highly enough of Brad...prompt, explains what he is doing, and thorough... same as any other tune I have worked with him on.. 93 octane tune, custom wastegate tune, e20 tune, and now meth tuned..... I'm not a nut hugger but I respect honesty when I find it.

it's ok sbs . . nut-hugging is justified in this circumstance!

Hitting a couple bumps in the road here... advance track is being stubborn.... with a non-pp I can't dumb it down enough to get the power to the wheels without it rearing its ugly head.... first gear and second gear...

Brad is working up something to help... otherwise we might need a different approach...

And I am going to need another 5 gallon drum of Alky...

Lol, I feel your pain, my current tune makes Sport Mode very unhappy now, I have to go to full off when I log.

I appreciate you and Brad getting all of these things worked out before he starts tuning the Lincoln... ;)

Ur killin me here.

Curious though... as I know there are non-pp SHOs in the 11's... how they are getting around the traction control issue... even with it dumbed down...

I am wondering if a stiffer suspension setup would keep the car more level thus keeping the weight over the front tires....

By the time I buy new shocks and lowering springs, it would be the same price as coilovers....

Not sure which one is better...

Subscribed, as AdvanceTrac is not wanting to cooperate with my vehicle either.  We should dedicate a thread to this very issue, as I understand it's effecting multiple people.

Stiffer might help, least in the rear to keep it from fully squatting and unloading the nose?  From my reading one of our biggest issues is wheel hop.  Combat that is probably goal #1, I just do not know what causes it in our cars.  suspension design/flex, low profile tires, both?  Then it is about weight transfer and tires that can stay hooked (new wheels with DR's?)

Some way to "recalibrate" the ECU/TCU to get the car launching in full awd rather than it rolling in the rear on demand might help too?

Coilovers are definitely better IF the roads around you are NOT terrible.  We do get some pretty decent winters here in the DMV area, but normally the roads are not as bad as in say, Boston or Detroit.  Those conditions may exceed the available adjustability in the coilovers.

As far as ECU tuning, I believe the 13+ (FoMoCo can correct me on this) do go 100% RWD on hard launches, just long enough to get going, then back to normal FWD/AWD logic.

I reached out to Jason at PImods.com  and he informed me he is unaware of any way to alter the stability control system using IDS.

I don't know if that is because of potential legal implications, or a 'there's no way to do it', but, that's where I wound up with that avenue.

The various OBD gauges I've used say 90% and the OEM gauge agrees.

Just a quick update... purely datapoints...

Livernois Motorsports Final Remote Alky Tune 0 - 90 mph = 8.7 seconds

AJPTurbo Work in Progress Remote Alky Tune  0 - 90 mph = 7.8 seconds (Assuming the wallace 1/8 mile calculator is right.. put me dangerously close to 11.9 in the 1/4... taken with a grain of salt as the internet lies.. according to Abraham Lincoln)

Neither of those were a brake boosted launch.. just an old man hitting the gas style..

I think we should have a head to head showdown, meth vs E50

Every change he makes to yours (spark and boost) he makes to mine.

The last log I saw looked like we were about the same settings...15 psi and high 26 spark.

Your calculator data is pretty exciting.

The calc is from Wallace Racing, I don't take much stalk in it...

I agree!! E50 vs Meth would be a good one I think... although, curious how much your throttle is closing to keep fuel pressure?

That makes a big difference in volumetric efficiency thus more power... you can actually see the STFT going rich when the throttle closes with meth spraying...

I think the 2013+ handle E much better...
