I am not sure that I want to use PlastiDip, and I am finding the chrome that hasn't peeled is fairly difficult to remove without scratching the plastic underneath. I think one reason the chrome is peeling is because it doesn't adhere properly to the plastic. I am finding the plastic is very, very smooth, so there is nothing for the chrome to "grip"...I'm thinking that maybe doing the finally sanding with 2000 grit MAY give the chrome paint something to grip without being noticable once the paint is applied. I would love to talk to someone that has used the high line chrome paint, just for some hints on applying it.SHOdded said:Get chrome replacements & slap some PlastiDip glossifier on? I think you can sand the chrome off, then prime & paint.
