dropped my 2013 SHO off at the dealer for repairs....

I had clicking sounds twice.

First time it was the inner axle washers.  It would click moving forward or backwards. There was a TSB and that fixed it.  7k miles.

Second time was turn the wheel back and forth.  They replaced the wheel bearing and that fixed it.  13k miles.

I was lucky my dealer correctly diagnosed each problem within an hour while I waited.

Forgot to mention.  All the good work they do, they sure are not in a hurry to do my fuel pump seal recall.  I've been on the list since Aug and they told me as long as I don't smell fuel, they'll do it around March??  Hope I don't blow up.

If it isn't an actual recall, that really doesn't surprise me. I've have had zero luck in the past having repairs made for TSBs, without the symptoms present.

Good luck with the other repairs. Hopefully it is just some teething issues to get out of the way.

for what ever reason I guess some will have problems and some wont with the exact same parts on I guess. If you're concerned about it tell them you smell gas inside and outside the car mainly by the rear passenger door. Mine was really strong and it still took them awhile to get the fuel pump in to fix it. They recommended I not drive the car, but I did. I didn't feel like walking 50 miles to and 50 miles from work. Seemed unlikely that the slight smell of gas would cause the car to burn down.

thanks for the info on the clicking noise I'll discuss that with my dealer. Glad it's a TSB so they don't try to blame my tune. Hopefully they dont blame my tune on the transmission seal either. Anyone know about that issue ? I didn't complain about that they found that issue / leak. The guy I talked to said I should be ok with the tune since there was no MIL or check engine light on. Their transmission guy has a SHO so hopefully he takes care of me.

Here's a link to the NHTSA on the fuel leak recall...dated Dec 22, 2013... The federal government has a campaign on this fuel issue... worth a look, may be able to hustle them up a bit with the info.... I wouldn't wait around.  A car fire is a bad thing!

^So the NHTSA website indicates it is actually a recall, with Ford proactivly contacting owners and such. Am I reading that correctly?

If that is the case, I'd consider any delay unacceptable, personally. Need to find out if the recall has been performed on my CPO SHO.

shoud get my SHO back tomorrow.

I was told they replaced the outter sections of my front CV shafts with an updated version to fix the clicking I heard. I'll confirm and get more info once I actually go up there to pick it up. I was told there was a TSB on that clicking noise and that was the fix.

also had a seal replaced in the transmission that was supposedly a TSB also. I never noticed a leak but they said it was running onto the trans housing.

SYNC updated and fuel pump replaced.

Just out of curiosity was this the sound you guys had?

They applied the washer tsb and replaced my hubs, the washer tsb did nothing. When they replaced the hubs one side was ok for a while. The other was quieter. Now it's back louder than ever.

Did they put in the washers with the new hubs?  May need to inspect the axles closely for damage as well.  Does anybody know if the washers are perfectly flat or if they have to be applied in a particular orientation?

Also the hub nuts may be incorrectly torqued.

I did manage to find a replacement heavy duty hub by Timken. But at $275 each they are steep. I'm going to give Ford one more chance to correct this issue before I go this route.

I am, however this is being going on for a year, it's been to the dealer countless times and different dealers at that.

I have the same issue as you,2013 sho ruby red purchased back in aug with 2 mi in it,in oct noticed the tick sound from front end when moving steering wheel, service manager took a spin and said we are aware of the problem, especially the police package and don't have a solution right know,we will keep you updated, its april know no response yet,the noise is about the same as when it started.ill wait until weather gets better.its upsetting tht they haven't addressed this issue yet.

This is crazy that it's taking this long to correct a simple bearing issue, when they did the new hubs back in May of last year it was better for a bit. I also noticed that the front end was smother especially at higher speeds. This would indicate that they are wearing, or tolerances are not acceptable. The SHO with PP and the police package have the same hubs (HUB200 Motocraft part number). It's not surprising that there are 2 companies now offering aftermarket hubs for a part that is only been out just over a year. Considering the hubs should last at least 100K miles.
