Weight and time.....Complete BS

Horsepower Results - 1/4 Mile Method
Your 2013 Taurus SHO weighs about 4690 pounds and can complete a 1/4 mile in about 13.70 seconds. That means that you've got about 360.49 HP at the wheels, and about 468.64 HP at the flywheel

Right.  My SHO had 297 at the wheels and 365 crank in stock form.  Didn't run it at the track stock but, 13.7 or so sounds about right.

Here are my results, which I believe to be pretty accurate.  Data taken from Dynojet.

I really don't think weight and trap calculators are accurate.  This one quoted above deals with real tested results (on a dyno) and a formula.  The result of the stock calculation is right on with Ford's claim.

HaHa, I just realized i got the analyzer from DJE's sticky!

LOL  I like this one better but you need a dynojet to prove it.

I can't get the GLD calculator to work tonight.

FYI...it will not work for me with firefox, had to use IE. It also likes to open results windows minimized to the task bar.

Thanks man.  I thought I used it before.  Oh well, I'd rather go there!  Plans have changed.  Making a trip there Saturday I think!

I wonder if having so much low end torque throws off these calculators, further highlighting the brilliance of Ford's design strategy.

470HP performance with only 365 HP?

Love that first shot with all the red.  I thought pretty hard about the 3 before I got the SHO.  No regrets!

I took that picture in front of Griot's Garage. For all you who love keeping your cars shiny and clean, they have some great products. This store is located in Tacoma, WA, but you can buy alot of the products online.
