First Mod: Airraid CAI

I made that inlet about 4x bigger going towards the front of car.  I then cut the rubber sealing strip about 5 inches wide where the hood closes down above it.  In addition, I punched out a section on the lower right side of airbox next to fender well.  Flows very well now.

I also removed about 4-5 inches of that seal, but didn't cut any plastic.

On my airaid box I also used a 2inch hole saw and did 5 holes in the pattern of a dice on the wall that goes to the drivers fender. Figured that might help pull air in from behind the headlight.

Enlarging the front opening of the intake in the fascia looks like a good idea. Do you note that removing  that section of the rubber hood seal offered air flow benefits that outweigh the potential introduction of hot air from the engine compartment, especially if you're stopped?  :dunno:

In Phoenix ambient air temp reaches triple digits for at least half the year and at night remains 100o all night pretty often.  :sweatdrop: So the engine compartment air is pretty warm.

You are paying for their name.  Hennessy also has a bad reputation as of late.

Agreed!  ...but the system looks good.  We'll find out.  It's all the reason for 4DR to work his magic!

I MODed my AirRaid with side holes and three holes at the botton.

For those interested, here is the K&N Typhoon in my MKS.  Note, that is not corrosion on the battery hold down bracket.  It is a piece of masking tape I need to remove - it showed up when I got a new battery recently.  The warning sticker is because the Viper remote start.

TSS-How does the air flow from the intake piece over to the filter?  Is there a diverter or something there?

well it looks pretty any noticeable differences with it installed ? power / sound etc ??

Yes, there is a diverter from the stock inlet to the cone. Absolutely 100 percent there is a difference in sound Under acceleration.

Very good looking.  Is the gap in the hood rubber seal strip in the pic stock or did you have to open it up?
