Anyway to add a custom one? Work with Sync2 I assume?

Would be cool to have Ford Racing or SHO

At one point I think I saw a thread (different forum) on doing custom splash screens via SD card flashing. It required some minor manipulation to the Sync update code.

IIRC, I think it was a Raptor forum because the Raptor guys were getting Lincoln splash screens after a Sync update. I believe one of the posters explained how to update the code to add your own screens. Didn't look all that difficult, but I haven't tried it myself.

If it can be done with FORScan, that would probably be a lot simpler. :)

To add your own splash screen you would need to some how do it with flash card.
Now that we have a physical update someone can reverse engineer it and just make it change splash screen. Maybe even make a theme.

Has anyone tried this yet on a SHO?  I assume that is SYNC 3 only as well - the Sync 2 addresses would probably be different.  If one of you SYNC 3 guys is feeling adventurous you should try it out!

Hey anyone know much about these features in FORScan what do you change?

Only thing I've done is turn off the honk when double locking and turn the turn signals to daylights.

Change factory splash screen.

Playing with these was fun when I get more time im going to try more random things in here and print out the f150 doc to have some understanding

I wish there was a way to add the complete value that's not in there already I may try to edit the backup file and add the one that should be for the disable double honk.

Do any of you guys have issues with your OBDLink MX BT dropping connections? My connection drops out frequently enough to not want to attempt programming. I don't want to brick a module because a signal dropped part way through a flash.

Also before you change anything just make a backup of all the modules you have to do it one module at a time. It saved me when I didn't fully understand what I changed

Thanks for the tip on backups. Pretty sure I didn't get a clone, but I will get the app to verify.

Not had a fallout yet.  3+ years in service.  But then again, y'all's rides have more sophisticated systems than mine.

I'm running Windows 10, and the connection goes between "connected" and "paired". Apparently this is normal with Windows if a signal isn't being actively transmitted. Registered the device with the OBDwiz application, and everything seems kosher.

When I execute service procedure to program a module, it seems to stay connected, but if I clear a DTC, it will work once, then I get a "No ELM found. Please check connection and try again". If I close FORScan and reconnect it works again. I turned off a power save feature in my device manager for Bluetooth, but this didnt seem to make much of a difference. Guess I will just proceed with caution.

interesting i have windows 10 also but i have a asus bluetooth adaptor i had to buy and just used windows bluetooth device control to add the obd device .
ive never cleared a dtc with the laptop though.
let me know if you make a change to the modules and still have it disconnect just something id like to know.
if so id try to just register using windows Bluetooth.

I have only used Forscan Lite on Android to clear codes (with ignition in ON but with engine off), and never had an issue with pairing.  Sounds more of device issue on the Windows side.  I know when I tried to use Forscan on Windows 7, it was a bit picky with its' Bluetooth adapters/connections.

Yeah, I'm leaning towards Windows goofiness. I did make a change to the BCM to turn off the double horn honk, and it worked with no issue.

I'll keep you guys posted if I have any other problems. Thanks! :)

It may already be here somewhere, but here is what I did to disable the double honk on '15 SHO.
