Hello 2013!

I ended up trading in my black 2011 PP for this 2013 model in white with 20K on the odometer for less than $30K.  This car also has the Performance Package!  I traded the wheels off of my old car since I had brand new all season tires on them and I couldn't decided if the flower wheels were really working for me.  I'm most excited about the extra cooling for the PTU/Trans/Oil (okay mostly the PTU).  Here is a quick crappy picture until I have time for some better ones!

Bought the car in Wisconsin...

Congrats on the new purchase, they give you any kind of extended warranty on her?would love to see some pics of the ride since almost having the same car, best of luck . Z

Plugs are already the SP534's in the 2013 correct??  Do I need to pull them and regap if/when I decide to retune?

I would check the gap for sure, mine came with SP534s. You will be able to check your tire pressures and PTU temp now lol. Congrats on the ride very nice.

The 13SHO originally came with the SP-528 which are platinum plugs, and later they updated them to the SP-534 which are iriduim, but they have the same part #on the plugs though. Z

Good to know.  I am going to pull a couple of plugs anyway to check on their condition.

I just randomly found one of the blow off valves was unplugged (the electrical connector) while looking around the engine!!  I'm guessing it is fine but I wonder how that happened...

Congratulations!  Hopefully, the PTU issues are behind you!

Me too!  I had the fluid swapped at another dealer and they said everything "looked" fine but then it still kept puking it out on the garage floor.  Maybe they just overfilled it - not sure.  With the cooled PTU and the ability to monitor temperature I am going to be a lot happier.

Nice upgrade!

I would have kept the "flower wheels", really makes the 13+ SHOs pop out.

Your current wheels would look really good powder coated.

Glad to see you are enjoying the new ride! The bov being unplugged is a bit odd.. hope it was just from some warranty work being done.

Sorry for the short reply earlier, little busy with kids graduation and all, figured probably the previous owner changed the plugs and moved the bov out of the way, especially to change #6plug,BTW does the rear valve cover look new, cause had mine replaced under warranty for an oil leak. Z

Let the honeymoon begin all over again!!!

Congrats on the new aquasition, PTU worries behind...and if I know you, all those new parameters to monitor!!!

Any plans for this one yet?

Rich

Well so far I've just been cleaning it up and debadging it etc...  The plastic on the center console has about a billion scratches on it so I've been attempting to polish those out.

As for performance probably just the "usual".  Tune, Intake, Plugs, Thermostat, 3 Bar...maybe downpipes eventually.

Right now I've just got a K&N drop in and am debating about just going that route for now and selling my modified airaid with cover.  Would probably go MDesign eventually.

I got the car from the dealer and while they claimed they put in premium I'm guessing it was mixed with crappier gas because my LOR is currently only at -.67.  I put a half tank of 93 in it and a bit of E85 to help get things going in the right direction.

I have to say I really love 2013 features over the 2011 so far.  It's a lot of little stuff and nothing that would have made me want one (if it wasn't for my PTU issues) but still nice to have.  The biggest improvement so far has been the brakes!  I'm not sure it actually stops better than my 2011 with EBC pads and rotors BUT the pedal improvement and modulation of the brakes is outstanding (relatively speaking) - can't wait to get rid of the junky stock rotors which are already showing some signs of warping when braking down from high speeds.

I finally figured out what "sport" mode is on the 2013+...I had a "sport" mode on the 2011 for advance track on the Performance Package and I still have it on the 2013 but now I also have the "sport" mode that affects the transmission settings (holding gears etc...) and I have to say I really like it.  I was always wondering what everyone was talking about with "sport mode" locking out 6th gear and holding gears longer etc...LOL.

MyFord Touch > Sync all day long.  My backup camera actually comes on in time to go backwards out of a parking spot due to the low boot up time.

I'm also going to enjoy reading tire pressures in Torque and who knows what else I can find.  Should be fun!

...and finally - NO FREAKING PEELING CHROME TAILIGHTS... I will not miss those things.
