The battery is certainly a weak point on this platform and had mine replaced under warranty for an upgraded MC-BXT-75-850 which is a heavy duty battery for sure....
I'm on my 3rd battery, lol.
Its amazing its only a TEN dollar and TEN pound difference between the 650 and 850 battery and you would think they would improvise after the 3rd battery or at least give you a 750 like our PI Predecessor to maybe troubleshoot the issue unless in fact one of the modules does not like to sleep and is draining the battery slowly and if so they need to step UP there game a bit and find out the underlying cause rather than replacing battery's and certainly dont wait until the 3yr-36k is up,just my 2 cent.  Z
It is so random and intermittent I have no idea how we'd track it down.

It's not an issue when the car is regularly driven and a part of me thinks its the MX....but then I go months with it plugged in with no issue so IDK.

Giving someone an upgraded part under warranty is a Ford no go and I would never ask the Mrs to violate any Ford policy, I'm not special and $10.00 isn't worth causing a bruhaha if there's a Ford audit. I will just pony up for a monster when the failure occurs outside of warranty.
FoMoCo Definitely respect your opinion and certainly agree you cannot step outside Ford's boundaries, hopefully there is a potential fix in the horizon in form's of a TSB,update, etc.  Z

my '14 SHO has ~40k miles on it, maybe I haven't had an issue with my battery because of the auxiliary reserve capacity I've installed for stereo things...

Thank you for the input everyone.  I'm not surprised that you were all correct!
It was indeed a dead cell in the battery and has now been replaced.  They also bypassed the 02 sensors for me to permanently clear the CEL and they are currently working on the TSB 14-0186 for me.  Should have her back by the end of day.......thankfully, as I have 1,200kms of driving to do for work next week :)

Great news on all!  I'm glad (and surprised) they were willing to bypass the rear O2 sensors.  That is the main reason I was suggesting a tune.  With that done by the dealer, you can decide whether or not you want the extra power, but don't have to tune to rid yourself of the annoying CEL.

All good stuff!

I am also surprised that they put a tuner on it as well.  No tune though....just a bypass of the 02's.
I do want to get a dyno and decent tune don eventually though.

Thats great to hear and hopefully they resolve the TSB and do both sides of the hub's(wheel bearings)thrust washer's,best of luck to ya.  Z  https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8JUL90DXgdiQlZKd29scTd0eUU/view

Sooooooo just picked my car up.
New battery, CEL bypassed, half shaft thrush washers fixed.
And for all the hassle they left me a surprise in my trunk. :)))

The SCT X4 that they ordered to bypass the 02 sensors!

The dealer used an SCT x4 to tune the car and ignore O2?

Wow, is that a normal thing or is that an awesome dealer?

Yes they did.  I also thought that was weird but I'll take it.

That is an awesome dealer, a unicorn you might say....

Id like to know where they got the tune from...i guess if you bought it from then they are kinda obligated to make the problem go away..they probably just disabled the rear 02 sensors...not sure where you live but if you need emissions testing you wont be aboe to ready the I/M monitors with the rear 02's off

No emissions testing where I live.
I live in a small town of under 7000 people so they are trying their best to save face.  I'm not sure who they spoke with to get the 02's bypassed but the salesman did say that they had to contact SCT or Derive? For help with the matter.

AJP is correct to point that out....the Canadian dealer knew the vehicle had a Tune and had NO cats from the beginning but had NO choice but to purchase a Tuner to disable the rear 02 sensors in order to satisfy, validate the customer's concerns regarding a PO-420-PO-430 codes set, only in Canada.....BIG NO-NO-HERE.  Z

So IDK if I missed it, did you buy unwittingly buy a car with catless pipes?
YuP,The OP was advised from the dealer that the vehicle has a FULL Exhaust nothing more or less and a TUNE but cannot locate tuning device and vehicle was returned to stock tune, correct me if i'm wrong.  Z
