How Long Has Your EcoBoost Been Tuned (dependability)?

Seems like with a wealth of 2013 owners coming on board, as well as what inevitably will be 2014 owners after that, etc. etc.

Couldn't be any better of a time for some of us 2010-2012 owners to chime in on the durability of the various tuning vendors out there, and ask....

"How Long Has Your EcoBoost Been Tuned"?

For me, I just surpassed the 50K mark on the clock, actually at 50,227 & I've been tuned since 400 miles.

Yep, you read that correctly, 400 miles.

What some of you may not know, is that my dealer physically drove out to another dealer somewhere in Iowa, to p/u my SHO, & then drive it back.

When I took delivery, it had 301 miles on her.....

So, fresh out of the gate, I went and got my Ecobeast tuned.

My 1st tune file was compliments of Mr. Kirk Doucette, owner of NESHO (Northeast SHO).

At about 1,300 miles, I switched over to LMS, & have been shocking the hell out of unsuspecting motorists wanting to race me ever since.

Very happy to report, no negative issues experienced whatsoever and am looking forward to future dyno time at LMS's facility after I purchase & install my upgraded turbo's & custom designed intake soon!

Looking forward to hearing others experiences out there, as well as the mileage achieved under w/e tuning vendor you've implemented/chosen.

Just over 60,000...I as well had a tune since the 400 mile mark. Always been a LMS tune. Started on the street before their AWD dyno was installed, was the first one they tuned. No problems as of yet...many passes down the 1/4 mile strip, several gallons of methanol, no troubles

My story is far less dramatic than Mike's and Darrell's.  But, it's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I installed my tune at 800 miles.  There was 200 on the clock when I bought it.  One interesting point is that those 200 miles were put on over the course of a year and a half.  I bought my 2012 SHO in May of 2013. (Built 12/11) One of the last new '12's available I imagine.  So anyway, I was scared to death to put it on a brand new car.  But, with fellow members encouragement and their great experiences, I did it!  I just turned 2K today.  I am very glad I didn't wait another mile before I tuned it.  Running LMS Stage 4 from the get go and never looking back.

EDIT-Now at 5K running Stage 4+

This is my 2nd Ecoboost Flex, both were tuned as soon as I picked them up but both were used. 1st one was at 30K miles and 2nd one at 11K. MANY 1/4 mile trips for both of them and now my current Flex has MANY high HP mods and living well so far.

Been tuned since about 500 miles, I only have 8k on it now, started with an MPT tune, currently running Unleashed 87 for the past 1500 or so plan on switching back to my 91 tomorrow. Truck runs WAY better tuned than stock and I'm not just talking power wise. Fords stock tune is a terrible daily driver.

Forgot to mention wife's truck. Tuned at 250 miles, immediately drove it to Mexico and went up competition hill at Rocky Point (stock FX4 with tune). Wife love it. Now at 2500 miles so far.

I got my tune in August of 2010 and put the LMS tune in it in Jan. 2011.  It had about 6300 miles on it when I first put the tune in it, then in July 2011 I upgraded to the Stage 4+ tune and have been running it every since.  The car will shortly turn 24,000 miles on it.

I was getting ready to order an '11 and stumbled onto my '10 with 18K on it and saved myself $14K. I drove it stock for about 6K and then loaded Livernois Stage 4+.  The clock is now at 48K so my ride has been tuned for the last 24K DD all kinds of weather miles and I still have a grin on my face. If I have to go to a lower stage briefly for octane availability reasons, I mope till I get my tune back. If I was limited to doing one mod and only one mod on my car, without hesitation I would chose the tune and never look back!!

I bought the car brand new with 320km on it (200 miles) August 31st 2012. Installed the Livernois tune when the odometer was showing 1200km (745 miles) mid-september 2012. The car is now +12500km and trouble free.

I bought my 11 with 24k miles and put the LMS 4+ tune on it right away.  Im approaching 38k problem free miles.  This is with SEVERAL track days and plenty of unsuspecting cars on the street.  8)

I Purchased my car in August 2010, Tuned it January 2011. Have only used stage 3 (Because there is/was not a stage 4 tune for 91 octane) and now have 48,000 miles.

Purchased the car in September 2012, tuned it at 800 miles with LMS and currently have 13k and some change on the odomter.  2013 PP SHO

Bought mine used with 40K back in Dec 2012, went to stage 4 LMS the same month.  No problems except I did not prefer the hard shifting for daily, added torque management to the stage 4, now she's perfect!  Sadly it is rare someone wants to race me, destroyed some unsuspecting Lexus G350F owners, bout it so far, love it, 54K on the od now.

Wow, that's the exact time frame I did mine...both purchased and tuned!  I used Stage 2 because I wanted the torque management, but I am running Stage 4 and it's great.

Almost same story-down to color of vehicle. Purchased Dec 20 2010-18.4K-16k below MSRP- a  great deal.  Stage 4 at about 26K-now at 50K.  Love every minute.  Just need to get wife's 2.0 EB Escape tuned.  Less than 200 miles on that one-it can wait a bit.

Double C didn't you have Stage 2 when we meant...hopefully I was able to help convince you to head to the Dark Side with the Stage 4!  I know I really like mine.

LMS 93 octane at 3k miles.

I've got nearly 2k on it now; love it.

MPG is right around 20 and that's driving like I stole it. It didn't stailize until I dropped car and put on the TSW's; that 60lbs of rolling mass helped!

Before my MPG would be anywhere from 18-21; 21 being me driving grandpa style without any crazy foot action.

Oops-forgot that I did start with stage 2.  Ran it for a while-think I went to 4 after meeting you and on that same trip.

First got my 2011 F150 EB tuned at 8000 miles (LMS) and ran it for 32,000 before switching to SoCal.  I am now over 43,000 miles.
