I'm originally a Texan.. DFW, hiil country, and Gulf Coast.  May I ask what part of TX?

Austin, the only Texas. :P

I'm actually from Germany but I call Texas home. My father is German and my mother is American (from Corpus Christi). She apparently lived the "fall in love while backpacking in Europe" cliche.

UR right! Keep It WeIrd!
I was born in Buda ... Just got back from seeing relatives there, Manchaca, Dripping Springs, Kyle... and eating Franklin's BBQ and hanging out on 6th!

HAHA; Franklin? PUKE! Coopers man; best ever.

I was down there in November; took the SHO--I miss home. I have a house in Round Rock, hence reason I'm heading back; plus I will be getting hitched. GASP

When did all this happen, Storm?  Congrats!!!

HAHA, not yet -- wishful thinking.

;)

I am in a serious relationship with my best friend who I have known for years. Our families spend time together.

I understand.... I'm from the Austin hill country too..... LOL!

The SHO handles great in MN winter.  It takes the Snow, Ice, Black Ice, Sleet, and Slush and spits it out with no problems.  Granted I did put some 17" rims with Goodyear Ice WRT's...

I also have a 2003 Avalanche Z71 with Nitto AT tires with about 90% tread left (Dont know the exact type of Nitto) and I would much rather be in my SHO.  Up until this winter (1st winter with the SHO and Winter tires) I would have much rather been in the truck.

I did have an Infiniti G35X (X=AWD) with Michelin Primacy MXV4's on it, and I didnt think that car handled well at all in the snow.  It was a Rear wheel bias too though.  Id say that the SHO is a great winter vehicle.

agree!

had a chance to check out the winter handling with about 6-8 inches on the ground in some spots.  My MKS handled it great!  went to an abandoned parking lot and attempted to make snow angels, LOL.  turned off the traction control and the car did 270s no problem.  once the tail would come out, i could control it with throttle stabs.

i actually did get stuck for about 40 secs went i went to work this morning, trying to park in a spot that was not cleared where nothing but 1/2 tons and large SUVs (no CUVs) were parked.  i was almost worried, then i turned off the traction control and she crawled right out, while kicking up a fair amount of snow!  it was much deeper than it looked, still alot of fun though LOL...

This car is impressive in the Snow and ice if you leave everything enabled.. But i dont have a PP and can only disable T/C its so frustrating having to counter steer the car as i would naturally then having to counter steer the stability control..

but you can still get the tail out so that is fun for oh 3 seconds.

Been through several major storms, blizzards, Noreaster snow storms in Vt and the SHO w blizzaks performed top notch. Yes the front end will plow snow with snow up to the bottom of the doors lol!  Finally the heavy weight is a plus!!
