Installing Livernois/Alky Kit, few questions

I have the pump, tanks, and most wiring ran. Few questions on the wiring since the instructions received are for a generic kit install. So the red/white/bare wire from the pump go to the PAC, the green tied into to Green/Brown map signal wire goes to the PAC, the PAC controller, and of course the LEDs.

The PAC itself has a fused power and ground. BUT I also received a relay and with an inline fused power connection. Do I even use this? I figured I would just run the fused power connection from the PAC to an ignition on source. I had though this relay might be for the pump but the instructions have the pump going directly to the PAC.

Also, which fuse are 2013+ guys tapping into. I'm having trouble finding an ignition on only source. Fuse 46 doesn't exist and I went to fuses working the same items that 46 did in 2010-12 and I'm getting +12 with accessory.

Clarifications would help, looked over the how to's of course but they left out a lot of the details.

Thanks

I will have to get my note book and PM you, But yes you will use the relay. It low pwr control the hi pwr to run the pump.

Here the low pwr control wire (to 15amp) and the hi pwr pump wire (to battery)

The wire plug under the green group of wire tires the pump and relay together.

I have much more imfo to give you this was just off the top of my head.

Ok great. I appreciate it. So I just need to figure out a fuse to put the grey wire to. Now what do you mean by tie the pump wiring together. The power wire off the relay goes to the pump or the PAC unit?

Not sure I follow your questions, But Julio at alkcontrol is very helpful. Here is number and email 813-265-1400 idoxlr8_70@yahoo.com

He must be out for the holidays. Haven't been able to get ahold of him.

I have the supply for the relay going to the main battery power. Turn on for the relay to a 15 amp fused ignition source.

So now I have the Progressive alcohol controller needing a power source. My question is the power feed from the relay, where does it go? To the PAC? The instructions only say to wire the pump directly to the PAC. In that case the relay power source only option would be to power the PAC meaning that the pump gets power only through the PAC. But looks like what shoman04 is saying the relay power goes to the pump directly...

The Gray go fuse 46 it is a pwr hot ignition fuse.

Here are a few pictures from my install so far to help give other ideas.

Vacuum source for BOV

Added a hose clamp, didn't trust those 2 small bolts holding that pump  on bumpy WV roads.

Didn't like how the tank fit given in the kit so I made my own out of 3" PVC and caps. Fits MUCH better. Barb on the top and a vent, barb on the bottom to the pump. Bracket mounted on the bumper support. I needed to go get nicer clamps. It's just help in place temporary for now.

Bracket for fill tank. Fits right in the spot on the back of the coolant tank.

Fill tank installed and breather so it doesn't take 10 years to fill with that 1/2 line.

The Gray go fuse 46 it is a pwr hot ignition fuse.

46 doesn't exist on 2013. I went to 70. Controls A/C clutch and bypass valves same as 46 did on other years.

Did you happen to check in your notes as to what you did with the power from the relay?

I got my notes, Sorry I mist stated something (it was off the top of my head) The big red wire goes to the battery, the small red wire to the twisted pair red/black of PAC (see pic) black to grd, gray wire goes to fuse 46.

Here my METH Tank line leak fix. Put the clamp on the hose and not the brase fitting.

Alright so as you see the wire coming off the relay for a power source goes to the PAC power wire as shown in the pic. Just to clarify... What's throwing me off is it's going through a fuse after the relay and another fuse into the controller which is redundant.

YES that is right (I am a electrician ) and the fuse on the gray protect relay coil, the one on the PAC protect it self from the pump. Here is MAP tip in.

Power is fed from relay, the cable you feed into car matches up nearly color for color. I'm sorry I hope this make since, been 2yrs since I did my install. But there is a few things I remember, you have a main power that is directly connected to bat a 2nd switched power coming from fuse box under hood, a ground for relay switch and ground in car, and signal wire on cars map sensor harness.
Reply back if this helps or not, if does. I will dig up my instructions and schematic.

I see the 2013 is different and you used fuse 70 not 46. Do you this little black box for your MAP regulator with grn/red/blk wire? if you do you have the update rev of the AKY kit and you will not tire the red wire to the 3bar intake plug as in bpd "how-to".

Yea mine came with that GM map sensor and box. I didn't use It of course. Just tapped into the intake map sensor wire.

Good I hooked up both and it cost me $400 in labor charge at LMS to find why my 3bar wouldn't work right!!!! OCH!!!!!

Getting ready to wrap up my Kit.. I have the extra GM map sensor are you all saying to not to install this?

It's not necessary. You can tap the signal wire off the cars MAP or use the GM MAP. Just a matter of preference. Just don't do both.
