Yeah, I can't wait -- checked USPS and they are arriving tomorrow.

I'll be officially done!

Now to decide if I want to switch my HID bulbs from 43k to 6k.

I got the puddle lights today and I'm done--I must say they were worth the money!

I bought them from http://www.daytimebrightlites.com/ for $129; you send your original puddle lights back and he credits you the core price. It was definitely worth the money and time.

Well ****, I wish you hadn't of showed me that site.  I was going to do my own puddles but I'm far to lazy.  I've gone to order the led's a few times then thought "ugh, I gotta get my wallet and type all this info in?  Maybe tomorrow!"

I have LED's to replace my driving led's from some asian site but I have to open the factory housing and I'm so much of a perfectionist I'm worried about messing it up a little so I haven't tried it at all.

I applaud Storm for having provided the link to where you (and others) can simply purchase the puddle lamp LED's all nicely installed & what not, however, at $129 I nearly aspirated the alcohol I was downing at the time I read that.

This mod is fairly easy to tackle on your own.

I wrote a detailed, step by step "How-To" on the LED Puddle Lamp Mod a few years back as I was one of the 1st one's to have tackled the project at that time.

All model years are the same as far as those puddle lamps go, therefore, nothing's changed.

Go search up the "How-To" in the How-To Section(s) and you can comfortably accomplish this mod for 1/16th of the price these are selling for.

Geezuz, I should do these for forums peeps and make a lil mod $$$ on the side there so easy to do

Can I play this game?

I swapped out all my interior lights like you guys, did the puddle lamps, license plate, 3rd brake light on my f150. I liked the look but I am never satisfied, haha...

I decided bedlights are a must,  I have my firefighting gear in there all the time and always going in and out of my linegear getting supplies or adding stuff.  At night it sucks and you cant see anything.  Found some LED ribbon online and some other parts I already had and boom!

But I need more right???

I decided to upgrade the lights on the front of the truck for in the winter and hauling our snowmobile trailer through the mountains.  I wanted more light to see way out in front as we have had close calls with wildlife and such.. so decided on taking a set of rigid dually offroad lights and swapping them into the foglight housings.  These foglights at 4 lights on each side will throw more light than my headlights haha... I aim these down pretty good not to blind oncoming traffic and although legal limit for forward facing lights is like 1200 lumens these are pretty illegal but still safe while driving because of the angle.  Have amber colored covers and it is killer setup for winter driving:

So once you get a little more light you want a LOT more light right?  So that's where I got the idea of mounting a light bar behind the grill.  So if 8 lights in a flood pattern are good, 3 LED's in a spot pattern should be even better right?  :o

So fit this:

Here:

And to show some output of what 10 times the legal limit is:

Mind you that is with the high powered fogs on as well as my brights.  So much light it just washes them out.

I can light up the road signs at over a mile and about 1/4 mile of blinding super white LED light.  I am pretty careful using this either offroading or on roads that are completely clear of traffic, I don't want to burn someones shadow into their leather haha.

Those look great man!

I had bed light LED's on my old diesel, loved them. I didn't do front grill, at time bars weren't that great--now they are picking up it seems.

Love it dude!

Oops just noticed this is model specific and interior... double oops.  Carry on all, I agree though LED upgrades are a great and easy thing to do, I have so many extras now from ordering so many when I did mine, we swapped out a friends new Dodge dart in my driveway cause he liked the look of mine and I had all the lights already haha.

Interested to see where you guys go with the reverse bulbs, I have the 15cree bulbs in mine and they throw a spot pattern that is brighter but doesn't result in better backup lighting.  I am researching a project about using a power actuator similar to a window slide to move down when powered and back up when power is cut, and then run some more high powered off road lights to that, keep it cleanly hidden and stealth under the bumper when driving but when hitting reverse they flip down and look like day time in the rear view. (if anyone finds a universal weather proof actuator let me know..)

No worries; I had same problem with backups and ended up getting these; they provide a great amount of light for me.

As for your concern; probably auxiliary lighting would be best. What I did on my F250--mounted them at bottom of bumper.

For more light on reverse, using 15W HIDs in the stock location is a possibility, been done on other Ford vehicles.  For myself, I would do what Storm suggests:  bottom of bumper auxiliaries.

So where did you get the LED light bar that has that kind of lumens, don't think it would work for the SHO, but could use one on our Explorer.
