Appreciate this forum, saved me bucks last month.

I come from Mustang forums going back 10+ years on various sites as twobitcoder, bossracer, a few others I can't recall. I was a regular on fnsweet before it crashed.

I bought a 2006 Mustang GT, yellow, and it was my commuter for 5 years. After paying it off, I looked it over one day, and it wasn't looking so great anymore. Phoenix traffic. Nothing major but looking worn. I had done minor mods to it but nothing major. Then I got inspired and decided to add boost, found an insane sale on a Roush M90 supercharger, installed it myself. Most fun I've ever had in a garage, and took 6 months altogether. Got a custom tune, added a 2.49" pulley, was doing 9 psi at the end, and that baby could scream. Then I got a crazy bug and went full out on a Roush Stage 3 conversion.

I bought this 2010 SHO in summer 2014 as my new commuter after getting rid of a lemon and basked in the luxury. I had never owned a car like this before. Coming from the Mustang realm, I was used to a bumpy ride, cheap interior, short wheel base. I actually unwind in the Taurus after work. I haven't done anything to it but would like to. It has a cute little turbo whine compared to the M90 but the power is plenty for me (also my first AWD and THAT always gives me a big grin). 94,000 miles now, bought it with 70k, and it was a 1-owner, meticulously maintained.

Welcome to the forum.  Talk to a tuner and that grin will quadruple.  A simple tune will have that SHO makin you think you still have a modified mustang for a DD...

Welcome to the community, JonSHO!  yeah, there's a reason why they call the SHO a sleeper, and it's not just coz hardly anyone knows about it LOL.  Good to have 2 rides with such different character :)

Welcome. I had a 98 Cobra and 02 Z06. Both yellow. Great color for sports cars.
Couldnt find a yellow SHO.. Lol

I was thrown off a bit by the vendor pouncing on me like a hawk on a mouse. That was the trouble at fnsweet, a couple paid vendors dominating the modding suggestions and select members singing their praises (in return for discounts and first-dibs), and I've seen that problem repeated far too often on forums. It leads to false positives and unnecessary spending. If i want to do business with a vendor, I'll contact them. But i won't tolerate predatory false-friend comments.

Sorry if you took the posts that way, that is not the way things are on this forum by a longshot.  This is not a site like the old stangnet where only the owner and his buddies are allowed to promote or give any reviews, and bad comments about site sponsers got deleted.  You will find this is an outstanding group of guys, eager to help each other and the vendors themselves will actually commend each other pretty openly.  If you skim thru the forums you will even see vendors recommending not buying parts quite often as they just do not provide the bang for the buck for the customer.

My comment was in response to your comment about "cute little turbo whine".  Just wanting to let you know there is allot more to the output of these cars than what you are seeing in stock trim.  They simply respond to tuning better than any other factory car I have seen or heard of.  It is a night and day change with a tune, regardless of the vendor, and I think you will find it easily rivals stock and many modified mustangs in terms of power and speed.  Unwinding on the way home from work is great, these cars can have you grinning ear to ear once tuned.

I mentioned a specific tuner simply because he had completed tuning my car the week before and I was very pleased with the results and personal service I received.  You will notice I have gone back and removed the specific tuners name from the post and intentionally not mentioned him in this post either just so there is no misunderstanding or mistaken intent moving forward.  I find your comment about "predatory false-friend comments" a bit confusing, I am sorry you do not like to hear customer testimonials, I was just trying to share a positive experience.

Welcome JonSHO, I would like to remind you that winter is coming! (vague GoT reference)
:P

Read through your posts, actually are you talking about the welcome message? The only reason it comes from my account is that I created/own the forum. If something else happened then please let us know.
Read some more if you're referring to lamrith then I am corrected.
OK back to my day job and family fun while trying to take care of customers orders. :)
