Hello all;

Looking forward to this forum to grab countless usefull information from, and share experiences/ideas. I have a 2014 Black Explorer Sport; and yes I get alot of looks and compliments here in Germany (its not sold here). I've added the Lund DD tune, EZ running boards black on black, OEM splash guards, and black Ford labels front/back. When I have time I'll probably next add the 170 t-stat, and the light grey tint to put over the yellow turn signal portion of the headlight; we'll see.

Welcome!  Some shots of the XSport with the German countryside as a back drop would be really nice to see!  Glad you are here!

Welcome to the community, anomadtoo!  Yeah, the XSports are vying to dominate the public's eye :D  Post a couple of pics as yours is now, and when you further mod it.  Germany does have some really cool backdrops ...

Welcome to The Forum anomadtoo!!
:WELCOME:
Glad to have you here!

Are you military?
….Already tuned… Super!  How about some pics of your current mods?  This is a great community.  Look forward to your contributions.

No, not military; I am a DoD civilian. I'll get some pics up soon. And in case you were wondering (or not) I've only gotten up to 110mph on the autobahn in my XSport. But that was also during a 5.5 hour drive where I averaged 90-95mph the whole trip. Needless to say its going to suck moving back to the states and much much lower speeds.

thanks for all the welcomings!

Welcome, welcome, welcome! :hi:

Glad to have you on board here :newbie:

Flip'n awesome opening post, and thanks a bunch for registering. :ok:

Pics when time permits, as our Explorer section is still relatively small (but growing).

Safe travels back to the States, and you can go just as fast, but just be cognizant of when and where! Ha!

The "other" Mike

110 mph is not bad at all!  What is the state of construction on the Autobahn today?  A few years ago, when I was there, we regularly hit patches of 80 kph road due to construction.  Thankfully, still no traffic jams, but it was way faster to drive at night (except in the right lane) than during the day.

Definitely was an adjustment being back in the States!

Haha; I am from Germany and have done some insane speeds on Autobahn with M-series BMW's and Audi's.

Where abouts are you? Struttgart? I'm from Düsseldorf.

Welcome to the board.

:WELCOME:  Glad to have you on board. Hope  you enjoy the Explorer and find your time here enjoyable.  Not familiar with the Lund tune...maybe you could give us a little info on it when you have a chance?

I'm in Wiesbaden. I've "only" gotten to 136mph when I had my 2011 Infiniti G37. I'll get the XSport up there when my twins aren't in the truck :) And one of these days I'll get to either Nurburgring or Hockenheimring. I understand the XSport is big and heavy and not tuned like a Jeep SRT8, but it would still be fun!

Regarding the Lund Racing tune; I learned about it on the Serious Explorations forum. It's a good tune, but sucks that its locked to one vehicle and can't be removed and resold. I like the SCT X4 tune and device advertised on this forum (and others).

Welcome from "HOT ATLANTA". Got to go to the autobahn for a top speed run and watch the BMW guy mouth drop open as YOUR FORD SUV light flash them to get out the way at a 160mph!!!! LMBO!!

Welcome.  i just did a 2,300 mile road trip in our '14 x-sprt.  Like my SHO, it just loves to cruise around 85mph.  just effortless.

I did note though, above 80mph, MPG was under 20.  below 75, mpg was 22+.

that 80mph mark is the limit where econemy goes out the window.
