Any idea what his treatment might include?
The steering wheel is one of my least favorite qualities about the car, both aesthetically and functionally.

I love those sexy, NICE leather wrapped, flat bottomed wheels found in Audi. XD
No, but I will find out and report back.

I had the 13 non PP and two weeks later traded it in for my current 13 PP and both were purchased new with the same color, what amazes me the only issues that are mostly brought up are the diffrences in braking, suspension, axel ratio, steering wheel, traction control, and to me personally the one difference that no one has brought up is the PP having a slightly better engine sound, considering both were purchased two weeks apart and bone stock, even my wife noticed.Z
Engine note changed quite drastically when I fueled up with V-power...

And another is the supposed "recalibrated" EPAS steering. Which, I definitely noticed between my PP and non PP test drive mules. However, I didn't notice any difference in engine loudness.*shrug*

Not saying ur wrong but that's hard to believe the fuel would change anything...u sure the packing in the mufflers didn't get some heat and make the sound change ?

Not sure how the steering wheels differ between trims, but I'm fairly disappointed in the quality of the wheel in my PP, with that alcantara ****. Not only is there accelerated wear on portions of the junk feeling leather, but also some "balding" spots on the alcantara sections. And I purposefully don't touch those areas, in an attempt at preservation!

Anybody else notice this on their wheels? Those of you with the alcantara on your seats, how is it holding up?

Torque steer is horrendous on my 13 PP. I know when I've mentioned this here before, it wasn't a general consensus between other members here. My previous car split power much better from f/r, and so there was essentially no torque steer at all. That makes high power AWD much nore fun and manageable. I'm sure it doesn't help that the front transaxle is open on this car. But, it's sure aggravating.

Torque steer? That's very interesting - I have a '12 PP and am tuned w/ livernois 4+/93 octane and catless DP's (so considerably more HP than stock) and I get NO torque steer at all, even if/when I turn off all the nannies. I can chirp the tires going from 1st - 2nd but no torque steer. Maybe your AWD is not working correctly? I would seriously take it to the dealer and have them check it out.

I would honestly have to say speak with your service advisor maybe they can get you an updated steering wheel under warranty, cause its only going to get worse and something to take into consideration, mine is in excellkent shape with 22k on her,was planning to order some suede cleaner/conditioner to see if it helps any to retain any lost moisture especially affected by sunlight.Z

Isn't sound from the rear...

The WOT note change was pretty similar going untuned to tuned...

Really not surprising, car didn't like that crapgas, lots of +KR, even cruising at 40 MPH....

I have to skepticism as well.
I know I've posted it here before, but many times gas between branded stations and even unbranded can share the same blendstock. While our treat rate of additive is significantly higher than most any other brand, you're talking about the difference of gas additive changing the audible noise from your engine. If your noisy GDI fuel systems quiets down, I can buy that.

We're talking about a few tablespoons of additive in your car's gas tank being the potential difference here...

manu: a question on the your thread of taking care of the alcantara. i thought i read early on not to use scotchguard on it as would plug up the holes for the cooled seat. so i have only ever just washed it with damp white rag w/ gentle soap.

Honestly don't know, it IS silicone based though.  I would do what you do, TBH, and to be on the safe side.

Here's another post, for a product that may be better suited:

This is how I have cared for the stuff on the wheel thus far. It's clean...I just have one or two unusual balding spots.

I DO need to visit the service dept. I have several outstanding recalls. Lol

It would be my very first Ford service dept. visit. I'm a little skeptical of their work, after many stories I've seen here. :/

Any DFW guys here want to recommend a dealer around here?

Wonder what the weight difference is with all those nice cookies, is that why the non pp can hang in the 1/4...hmmm

Our engines have knock limiters and the computer can adjust the output of the engine to prevent fuel pre burn-with a higher octane fuel the computer lets the engine go with no limits! I was referring to my engine sounding louder from 87 to 93 octane and Iheartgroceries I know the difference in the sound of my engine despite what you might think my brother! It's all good!
