Found it! Thanks for the help. After looking it over I don't see a vent tube in the diagrams. Most likely not included in the diagram to reduce confusion. It is very interesting to see they want you to remove and fill fluid 3 times after rotating the wheels 3 full turns. This process was only mentioned for the non PP cars. Most likely because they know it's over heated.
A cooler should have been included on all sho's.

You didn't go into the tsb folder.

Ahh Nuts...

The hose isn't loose but there is still oil there. It's not fresh oil. Or its just leaking very slowly. Only thing I can think of is the fitting that's on top of the PTU is cracked or something.

Sometimes I wish I had never looked into doing anything to this car.... hah. It's like they just want the PTU to grenade. Do they like paying to fix eveything!?!?

Blame it on "global" manufacturing :D  I think the designs are good, but when the bean counters get to it ...

No flex? How is that possible?

Flex doesn't have an option for a PTU cooling system as far as I know. This only affects vehicles that have one, so the non Performance Package SHO is not included either.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but what do we need to do about getting this looked at by the dealer?  Is this something that is covered by factory warranty?  Or should we just change the fluid ourselves? What actions do we take?

It appears that this service message only applies to SHOs with the performance package so I don't think there is any action you could take regarding this specific message.

Oil on top of PTU is most Likely from vent. And is caused by being over filled.

What would cause my PTU to be 8 ounces low? Not all 8 ounces could have made it threw the vent seeing as how the oil on top of my PTU is only a 4" spot.

Just was basing it on other TSB's where fluid was losses thru the vent.

How did you determine that you where 8oz's low? That's half of what's in there. Just asking cause the last time I checked no one had been successful in change their selves and the dealers wouldn't touch it.

Ok well apparently wasinger has 2010-12 or 13+ non-Pp car. I very well versed in changing PTU fluid as I have done 3 times already. I never get more then 10 to 12oz's out of it. And I have no leaks, or is it slugged up. Been changing fluid every 6mos since it's replacement. so I wouldn't necessarily say your low. If you basing it on fluid recovered. Also difficult to properly follow thread from phone case you can't see folks sigs to find out which vehicle they are discussing.

I pulled 13-14 oz out of mine and got 13-14 back in. Had noticeable leaking down side where drain is from the top. Only holds 18 oz so I'm confused on how that 4 oz difference actual made it down the side.

I have a 13 non PP. What I did was suck all the fluid out of my PTU. I know I pulled all of it out because I put an inspection camera inside and was able to see the bottom of the case. I spun the wheels 3 rotations let it sit for 30 min then pulled the little puddle that was left out. The total amount I got out was ~10 ounces.

I think my PTU was not filled from the factory OR it had the hose come off before I bought the car (used with 16k) and had the tsb performed to fix the hose but they did not refill the PTU.  (Most probable scenario)
