I'm curious how you masked something as detailed as the TAURUS letters on the trunk. I'd be tempted to try blacking out all the chrome on the trunk.SoCalSHO said:I just re-did my TAURUS and SHO badges yesterday. I had a few nicks, so I figured i would mask everything and more some more coats on. Pretty soon I will have to do my tail lights, so I will take a bunch of photos and post them up as a sort of how-to.
Larry, go check out some of the youtube vids from dipyourcar.com. They don't mask off very much with the letters. Just spray the whole area and then peel the plasti-dip off the painted surface. I've not tried this myself yet, but I do have a couple cans of the stuff waiting for me to try.Larrylu said:I'm curious how you masked something as detailed as the TAURUS letters on the trunk. Larrylu said:All of my instincts would lean to masking, so please post your results with the peeling technique. If you have good results, ill have to try it myself!
