S4 (Sony Sound System Settings)

Hey there! :)

Anyone know why the bass/mid/treble (et.al) settings aren't staying where I left them?

2015 SHO w/ Sony

Every day or so, the sound system settings reset back to 0 and I have no idea why.  What am I missing?

Thoughts?  Questions?  Comments?  Queries?  Posers?

Thanks in advance,
FF

Battery might be in its way out. What about your presets? Clock? Etc?

Does the car have a rough time starting?

Good thoughts!  But no, everything else seems to stay; radio presets, clock, last A/C setting.  AND starts fine.  it seems to be limited to the radio sound settings.

Check the fuses under the dashboard! Sometimes corrosion can buildup between the fuses causing intermittent issues.
I would try swapping out same amperage fuses.
Inspect the battery cables. It may be as simply as a highly corroded terminal or loose connection.  Z

I will vouch for this.  Had this issue with my 2007 Edge fuel pump.  Pulled the fuse, saw the corrosion (not heavy), cleaned up the location, and put in a new fuse.  All happy :)

Oh so true! Sometimes the climate plays a role such as in moisture and followed by water intrusion entering the cabin or engine bay! Im in no way suggesting this is the case but would try to rule out.  Z

Okay...so, to put this one to bed; turns out it hasn't happened again.  However I have a FEELING it has to do with when I was flashing updated tunes.

I assume someone will be able to confirm this, but honestly...confidence is high. :)

Everytime I flash a tune, I have to reset my climate controls from C to F and my reset my stereo settings.
