Few more SHO carnage pics.
I got my parts off other than the rims (insurance is paying extra for the rims)
Finalizing a deal on a ruby red 2015 fusion titanium fwd (2.0 ecoboost). I'll drive the fusion for a few months and find a replacement SHO or factory order one and once I have my replacement SHO ready to go, my mom will be the proud owner of a 15 MY fusion.

Good thing buying a platform they build the PIs off I guess! Definitely would be peace of mind issues post-repair, so your transitional plan sounds good :thumb:

Yeah, the car definitely did its job and protected me. I walked away from that with not a single scratch, going from 70+ MPH into the spins, into a barrier, continued spins, and another barrier, not to mention the other car.
Airbags didnt even deploy and not a scratch on me or any bit of back/neck pain.
Interesting they totaled it... doesn't seem like that much damage from the outside.... good luck on your future endeavors!!!

The front and rear subframes are tweaked, there are like 10-15 hours of frame repair in the estimate, on top of that there are multiple cut/frayed wires that were not in the estimate but would add cost. The engine cradle (K-member) needs replaced as well and is a $1500 part, rear quarter replacement is another $1500 on its own. taillights + both front headlights is ~$2500. Add all the parts and its between 15-20k plus labor. Cash value is only ~$27k on the car.
If it were repaired it would take probably a month if we got lucky, could be realistically closer to 2 months. And it would most likely have some weird quirks or just feel off after that.
They also have to replace the hood, trunk, and trunk floor which is $5k on its own.
Makes sense, to bad these subframes cant just be stretched out lol... chain one end to a tree and connect the other end to truck.. then get her aligned... good to go! J/k...
When my Jetta got plowed by a dumbass (who drove away after he hit me) the front subframe was bent... they didn't total it though..never drove right either..

I had to replace the front subframe on my SHO. The thing about subframe damage is that it can easily become all of the front suspension once they dig into it.... I purchased my SHO for a stupid good price after all the cosmetic work had already been done and knew there had to be more. I went with a salvage part though and it was a LOT cheaper. But if I was dealing with insurance I would want all new parts.
