SHO May be totaled, IDK what to do...

Really glad to hear you are OK, wrecks like that are enlightening.

Car is being moved to an insurance junkyard for them to assess if it is a total loss or what. I found a 2013, white SHO, with PP pretty close by. Has a moonroof (meh/No-Want) but it seems to be a pretty decent price and has under 50k miles with a 7yr/100k warranty.

The same dealer also has an RS, and some roush mustangs, so a few testdrives may be in order if I get word that I'm totalled...

Even if my baby isn't totalled, i may still pick up the 2013 because screw it. Baby one and drive the other.

There is also a 2011 locally for sale, non-PP, "Stock", but sold with extra parts to include SCT X3, 3 bar, K&N, Stage 3 motorsports downpipes, has a muffler delete done, and has 2 12's in the trunk. I would prefer the 13 over the 11 but who knows.
7yr/100k warranty is darn nice to have...

Go test drive them anyway because..  fun to try something new and scare a sales guy once in a while.  Downside is if it is a pressure/pushy salesperson or dealership.  I had one that we were light years apart n price on a rig, told them sorry, never ever pay that much.  They kept calling me for weeks..

Dang, Fred!  Sorry to hear about your accident and as it goes without saying glad you're okay.

I'll keep your OE wheels nice and safe in memory of your baby.  :P

Thanks man!

Went to the dealership and unfortunately both the 13 PP SHO, and the 14 GHIG 5.0 6 speed are sold. Got to oggle a 16 blackout package GT 5.0 6 speed, with 401A though. I may end up getting a second vehicle just in case anyway, depending what insurance desides - If so it'll either be a 5.0 mustang, or a fusion sport or another SHO. Dealer has a 15 with 20k miles coming in soon from what they said.

Any update from the adjusters?

AFAIK car will be inspected in the next 3-5 days, they hopefully got it moved to their facility today. That said, I pestered the claims rep, and the woman I spoke to today said she was uterly confused why they told me it may be a total loss. Even with the damage reported, she claims it should be fixed without issue. I did a search and parts will be 7k or so, add labor and we don't get past 13k or so. A lot of money, yes, but not 75% the value of the car.

I expect for it to get fixed, and hopefully they fix my underboost issue as well. Afterwards, I'm still leaning heavily towards getting a second car. Probably a 15+ GT Premium mustang or a fusion sport

First off, glad you are safe.
Second, that truck is AWESOME! Don't know the market there but that would sell in a day up my way.
Hope you jump on it!
Good luck.

Thinking of adding a Roush RT570 F150 to the stable (http://www.rayskillmanford.com/inventory/2014-ford-f-150-roush-rt-570-4wd-truck-1ftfw1ef4ekg11642)

570 hp, 530 tq, with a 7yr/100k mile warranty. 4x4 as well. Pretty much the perfect DD truck, can go offroad if needed, probably runs pretty well at a drag track, and for sure can tow the SHO or a mustang to the track as well.
Do it!!!! That truck won't last long at that price and might be gone already. A supercharger on a 5.0 sounds awesome..
That dealership is NHRA pro stock driver Drew Skillmans grandfather's Ray.

I'm 50/50 on the money, I don;t have my tax return yet, so downpayment would be a little small as of now.

If I don't get the RT570, I'll get a roush raptor, RS3 mustang, or a loaded 15+ mustang, once I move to somewhere with a 2 car garage. I have to go to the dealer once the car is at the body shop, so I'll definitely take the truck on a test drive if it is still there, and go from there.

Dude....I really like the '18 Mustangs.  New orange color and they're bring the Kona Blue over to the Mustang as well.  Now that would be a nice colored 'stang to have IMO.

I've got a few on my phone but I am hesitant to upload until the case is closed for the car. As of now insurance has declared it a total loss. I am going to take a serious look at the roush F150 tomorrow, and see what is available and on the lot as an option.

Bummer about the SHO, but I'm sure you'll have fun in the next chapter. :)

That's most unfortunate!! At least you are in a position to get another "toy" car, and you don't have to worry about  that boost issue any more.

Sorry to hear that, man. You will come across something else. At least you are ok though. Nowadays not everyone gets to say that.

On a side note, are you going to let you grab some of your parts from the SHO to resell or those at a loss too?

I should be able to get most/all of my parts. I dont have stock downpipes with me here (they are at my parents house) but expect to be able to remove the catless pipes.

I have sent receipts for all of the parts to my insurance, so either they will add value for them, and keep them on the car, or if I don't like what they are paying for them, I will remove them and consider selling.

As of right now, the idea/plan is to buy a slightly used, 2014+ Fusion, that I can live with for a few months, and then once the 18 MY is available for factory orders, I will use my moms current 06 fusion as a trade in on a 18 SHO ordered to my specs (so may keep my parts for that).

I already removed my 3 bar, returned the car to stock, and took out the crash gauge pod and gauges, but I need to still get my wiring, CAI, the last remaining piece of the EPP pipes on the car, thermostat if possible, and downpipes/catback if possible. I would live to have the entire catback that is on the 15, so that if I get an 18 (or 17 depending on what changes the 18 brings), I can bolt it up without having to do any cutting/welding.

Basically the fusion I buy now, will replace my moms current fusion, and I will use it until there is current information on the 2018, then factory order a 17 or 18 depending. Of course if the 18 is better/redesigned, I may still opt for that and just have to sell my aftermarket parts. We shall see
