Smoking Out The Exhaust

I have a 2012 Ecoboost Flex with 27,000 miles. So yesterday i was leaving the car wash and i had to get on it a bit to get in front of traffic and as i looked in the rear view mirror to see how far i was a head of the cars behind me everyone was slamming on their brakes due to my flex looking like i just flipped the smoke screen switch, no exaggeration this was bad, however it cleared up after about a miles or so down the road. Now i have seen maybe a little to no smoke come out of this thing in the past but noting like this at all. So i drove it all around after the smoking incident and it did not happen again. First thing i thought was one of the turbos went out or i broke a piston. The flex has had a tune on it in the past but it has been on the stock program for a while now. All stock except for that

any input would be greatly appreciated

I just wanted to clarify if this happened as soon as you left the car wash and what color was the excessive smoke ? Any gas smell ?

Any noticeable decrease in power?
You check your oil condition and oil level?

at first i did notice a decrease in power but after i turned the car off for an hour or so and started it up it has all it power. The oil condition is great and the level is perfect.

I would first check to see if any codes are set,and proceed from there, there is a TSB on the flex, also any oil around the rear valve cover and oil seperator by the pcv,oil in the spark plug wells.

I will check for codes tonight, but as far as that TSB go's i did have the valve cover changed and added the oil separator

Checked for oil in the intake/intercooler?  How cold was the water in the car wash, any idea?  You had the engine running the whole time?

I did pull the intake pipe that connects to the throttle body and yes it was definitely coated in oil, i was thinking it was from before i had the TSB performed. I didn't feel the water but i don't think it was excessively cold. I did have the car idling for about an hour in waiting for the car wash, i really don't think that had anything to do with it because I always idle in parking lots of stores waiting for my wife because she takes forever in stores...LOL  :)

No i'm not against washing it myself, i was just pure laziness. I detailed 3 cars the day before and of course i take mine to a car wash...lol

Let's see what startup looks like in the morning, but since this happened when you "got on it", my #1 suspect (as you already indicated) would be turbo/seal as well.  Are you sure somebody didn't steal your cats and put on some cheapo replacements?

Personally, I have no interest in washing my car.

I spent my early life wrenching, washing, installing stereos, blah blah blah, and personally I'm over it.

All that happens when i wash it is I get pissed off at the new scratches, dings, and rock chips that I find.

If I wanted to be annoyed, I would just go to work.

LOL

As much as I am certain I will feel the same way someday, I hope I don't ever get there.
I'm definitely on my way. Really not becasue I don't enjoy detailing. But as far as prioritizing goes, it really falls to the wayside these days. The bad part about it is, I don't hire anybody. They just stay dirty.

I have 5 vehicles now, between the wife and myself. At least one of them has to go.
