Step one ?

2013 sho pp. Just got my livernois tuner in the mail and I can't even figure out step 1. Haven't tried to load the strategy code yet.
Do You gotta hold the buttons down while plugging it in?
Do you need pen and paper to write things down?

Install instructions are more confusing to me.
Says at the end the tuner will tell you to turn ign off, then they say at this point open the door - so what is it open the door or turn ign off?

Kinda wanted to feel like I knew what I was doing before I start

I think with the 13s you push the start button twice with out touching the brake.  The car should be in run but not running.  (If that doesn't work, try holding the button in for a few seconds. Plug the tuner in and press the N and Up buttons together (before it boots up) until it says ENGRG MODE.  Then scroll up and down to get Strategy code and ECU part number. Then you can just unplug it. Send those numbers and what tunes you would like to tuning @ Livernoismotorsports.com as fast as you can!

In engineering mode the very first option should be vin, scrolling down should show you the other options.

Engineering mode is reached by simultaneously hold the up, and N button after plugging in the tuner, and continuously holding them until it says engineering mode.

simple, and yes you have to write stuff down to e-mail them.

After I sent several e-mails back and fourth to LMS on this eventually I had sent in my VIN and all this info below to get it right. They'll need the ECU ID the Strategy code, and the serial number from the tuner device.

ECU Strategy
KHDK3TA.H32

ECU SW PART ID
DG1A 14C204 FH

VIN
1FAHP2KT7DG
128045

AIW SERIAL # 15*****
Part No. 45002
7-59609-04867-7

then you will get an e-mail like this.

1. Download the following 2 files from the following links. Be sure to download both files to SAME folder on the PC.

a. Download file 1 at http://www.webservice99.com/downloads/tunerupdateapplication/V2/current/setup.exe

b. Download file 2 at http://www.webservice99.com/downloads/tunerupdateapplication/V2/current/UpdateInstallV2.msi

c. Note the location on the PC as to where these files are being saved.

2. Go to the location on the PC where the 2 files were downloaded to.

3. The following two files should be present (setup.exe and UpdateInstallV2.msi).

4. Double-click (run) file setup.exe. This will start the installer that installs the Tuner Update Software.

5. Follow the on screen prompts as usual to installupdate the application.

what happens is your installing the software on the computer that has access to their tuning servers. They update your tune on their servers. Then when you connect your tuner your software access your requested tunes files and loads them automatically to your tuner.

In the future if you have any changes / updates they do it on their server so all you do is plug up your tuner and open the software which again access their server and re loads the updated tune to your tuner.

Don't sweat loading the tune on your car it's kinda scary I would just do it at a time when no one will approach your car to mess with anything. I left my door open only the entire time and didn't touch anything else the entire time except the tuner and start button over and over. It tells you to go into and out of accessory mode a few times while it does it's thing. Just follow the promts.

Good luck and enjoy !

Thanks guys. Pretty excited about it  I'm gonna do the first step rite now. Think I got it? When do I write my existing stock tune to the programmer? Or is this doing that?

no for now you're just getting the info they need to create the tune for your specific car. Ask them to put a stock tune on it if you want. I can't remember how many tunes it can hold at once. If necessary I'm sure they will send you a stock tune if / when needed and you update it to your tuner.

To be safe, use the links they send you.  Not the links above here.

Thanks - I get the drift you know who your dealing with here. I just got the numbers off the car and am going to fire them off tonight

Have had the car for 4k now and am doing the tune, cai, corsa, plugs and stat all at the same time. I wasn't even going to mod this car at first until I read yours guys posts

LOL  Boy you're gonna love it!

Please make a signature with year, model, and mods so we know what you have in the future.  Thanks and Have fun!

what Corsa parts are you using ?

oh and yeah don't use my links use the ones they sent you.

Welcome & congrats, Mikesb!  Get that tune loaded up pronto!  Some pix of your new ride :) and a few time slips/dyno if you will, please :D

They forgot to mention that this all only works if you have a PH D in Electrical Engineering with a minor in English.  LOL

Don't feel bad... I had many issues the first time I used my SCT Tuner and they are much easier to figure out.

Anthony at LMS told me once they were going to have an instructional video for loading the tunes on their website. Wonder if they ever did that. That was in June maybe and he said tomorrow back then ???

Just got home and checked the email, two tunes waiting 4 & 4+
They say 91 & 93 octane. Here in Portland OR, our super says 92 min octane rating, I wonder what that means foe running the 4+ 93 tune?
I was thinking of trying the 4 91 tune anyway. Probably going to do my tune and upgrades Saturday.

Glad you got the tunes.  Never heard of 92 Octane.  Your plan for using 4/91 sounds good.  You might have a problem with 4/93.  Maybe not.  I don't know if LMS tunes for 92 but they might.  I'd give them a call.

Well I'm envious... I have to wait until January....  I'll be interested in your further adventures.. and your impressions!

looking forward to working on the car this weekend, but dang the weather just took a turn, freezing, snowing east winds make real feel about 1 deg here in portland. garage and shop full so ill be working out side, unless my freind will help me in his shop

have been reading through the forum to get ready. T-stat, spark plugs and cai seem like its pretty straight forward? Any tips or things i should anticipate

sitting here in my work van not wanting to get out
