Tail of the Dragon Trip

Have you ever checked your brake pads? .and also your brake fuid reservoir, sometimes spongy brake feeling is caused by old brake fluid, would flush it out and add some new Motorcraft high performnce dot 4 brake fluid,or may need to bleed the system,by the way congrats on the baby,LOL.

Might be something I need to look into.... honestly I was going into a left hander and wanted to get on the brakes, and I had to put it to the floor, and it was still not stopping.... that was after about 10 minutes (275 turns) later.. . So I knew they were getting REALLY hot.

I just put new pads on the front and at high speeds (over a 100, in mexico of course) they don't want to stop very well still. Pedal was stiffer for about 2 days and that is now gone. Will have to address the fluid. 2011 35k, think it needs it?

This is wicked, awesome control of your bike. Well done, you've got skills that's for sure. There aren't too many roads like that around here. Would be great just to give it a drive.

Thank you! I have worked literally my whole life on doing what I do.  Maybe we should organize an event to where we all get together and run the dragon as a group. There are also a ton of other good roads around here. There are car groups that do that all year long. We really should make it happen.

Let's make it happen! let's get some moderators to set up an event for a weekend. We can all ride around the mountains of East Tennessee in a SHO convoy.

Sounds great. Mid fall might be best for temps on the brakes. Is there 93 octane available around there?
There is 93 octane and 100 octane on the dragon. Fall would be perfect

looks like there is an E-85 station here in Knoxville, TN where I live.  You could fill up there, and then have a whole day of spirited driving, and then fill up there again.  It is about an hour from the entrance of the Dragon
