Unleashed 3 bar 93 octane tune

First time I was out this year testing CAI'S the DA was good...400-700, ran in the 12.4's in 5 of 7 runs.

Next time out DA was about the same with bad traction and ran all 5 runs in the 12.4's, but that was with downpipes.

I've added coilovers since then, hoping to sneak into some lower bracket now if the DA is right.

I've had thoughts of traveling to one of those places that throw up negative DA on the regular.

Thx too!

Rich

You should be able to no problem. I'd datalog for Torrie at least a couple times. He starts you out on the safer side and will take it up as far as you want to go. Just be sure to let the tune settle in for a couple days before logging and always make sure your car is up to good operating temps before logging also.

I just sent him a log, was up to temp but on its maiden voyage.. Lol.. Maybe I should drive it some more. Boost was higher than I thought it was gonna be.. It was up around 16 or so

I want to do a run with the tune I have now, then one with the modified tune. Gonna use pocket dyno app.. With the stock tune and the pocket dyno app I got a 13.2-13.3. But I ran a 13.5@103 real life.

I would drive it at least day or two before datalogging/retuning. Gotta give time for the adaptives to do their thing. As time goes on the adaptive time becomes less and less as things get dialed in.

I never got a chance to run back to back with the different shift points. Remember the folks with dp's are gonna breathe a little better up top so they can carry their power longer.

Looking at dyno sheets however the power, even on the tuned / dp'd cars starts to go south at 5500 rpm. To truly figure it out I guess you'd have to plot power times gear ratio at all the different points.  Search term power under the curve should get you more info regarding different shift points and why sometimes shifting earlier is better.

When I get the 15 tuned im hoping I can use the global modifier on the X4 to do some strip testing with different shift points, cause dragstrip>math....at least in the fun department.

Ok, today I decided to take the traction control off and launch the car off of a power brake of 2k or so... Front tires spun all the way through first and into second, makes me think the awd is not working. Then the stabilitrac light came on and said it needs service... Anyone ever have this issue?

Do you have a bluetooth OBD adapter by any chance?

And yes at about 100 MPH on two different MY cars, it shuts down Advancetrak for some strange reason.

AWD continues to function however.

OK, I just looked in Livelink and I don't see a pid for AWD clutch engagement.

Forscan has it and I think I read they got it figured out in Torque.

Most likely this condition cleared itself on restart.

In the winter with I had the service advance trac warning pop up after some wheel spin...went away after restart and never saw it again

Rich

Maybe it came on because the tires were spinning like crazy.... Real bad... Up to 30mph or so
