Unleashed 3 bar 93 octane tune

I had the service stabilitrac come on last weekend at the track after a quick turn around.  I let it cool for 20 minutes or so and the light was gone on restart.  The last run was my best, 13.69 with only an Unleashed 91 octane tune, but going into second acted like the front end was breaking loose, but it ran out fine.

As many have said before, you have to let the tune settle in first, let the relearn process happen before you send a tune for revision.  Datalogging at any time is a good idea, but not really useful to send it in before the relearn happens.

Can't harp and nag on this enough either:  make sure your maintenance is up-to-date.  Running a tuned vehicle also ups your responsibilities factor.  Look at what bpd does, what SHOnUup (Rich) does.  You want the best, you gotta give the best.
I really didn't get any direction on what I was supposed to do from torrie other than load the tune, which kind of sucks.. I'm not the expert..

Maybe the guy who tuned my mustang spoiled me, I could call him up and we would tune the car while on the phone, sometimes for a couple of hours at a time

LOL, it's funny, Torrie is a man of few words indeed.  But I think he has to be in order to keep up that insane response time. Even more reason why I suspect that guy is a really an automated program or a robot. He's up all hours of the day and replies in like 10 minutes with tune updates.

Not knocking Torrie at all,  but one of the reasons I like LET is being able to call Erick (and in my case go to the shop).

I really think you just have to get used to Torrie being very to the point because he has set the bar so high with his response times and also tunes a bunch of things outside of just Ecoboost. I'd love to be a fly on the wall a day at Unleashed to see how in the hell he manages to tweak tunes so quickly while still (hopefully!) working on personal projects.

I'm not knocking him at all, he is very quick responding. Like I said earlier, my previous tuner didn't do it for a business, he just enjoyed doing it. I just don't know what questions to ask to get the results I want. I'm glad you guys are here..

I'd like to think I change fluids more than anyone here lol.

When ever I load a fresh tune I usually drive the car 5-10 miles. After 3 wot runs the car is usually well educated.

I know that on my mustang the adaptives were more important just for drivability, wot I didn't think was affected by adaptives

Send me a datalog sometime and I'll look at it.

Torrie is very good at what he does. If he took the time to explain what he's doing to every person that emailed him he would never have time to keep the revised tunes flowing.

Send me a pm and I'll try to talk you through what pid's to log so we can see what is going on.

I know what you mean :)  I used to have a great guy, great mechanic I used to work with for stuff on my SHOs.  He ran a small shop, VERY busy, but took time to talk to every customer, especially when they had questions.  But that also meant he worked LONG hours, literally fingers to the bone.  That's why these communities exist so we can raise each other's awareness, and ask "expert" questions, and make best use of the experts' valuable time.

I am going to load the 14psi, 6200rpm tune at lunch in a half hour. I watched the gauge last night on stock tune, hit 11.8psi max. Thanks wasinger, I will do that when I datalog

Boost was showing a max of 16.8, is this prob just a spike? Cause it's supposed to be 14

Need to datalog so I can see what the boost is doing the whole time. Snapshots of max data will not tell you anything.

I figured that but you guys are telling me to drive it a little before I log. I can log on the way home if you want

Your 60' is a bit on the high side at +2 sec. You should be able to get it around 1.8 seconds. Giving your trap speed is good, with a better launch you should be close to my best time of 12.9@109 with unleashed 3 bar tune (94 octane). Doesn't you have front wheels spin issue?

It's awd right now.. Lol, this is just a stupid app on my phone, not 100% accurate at all. I was just comparing to my stock run from back in May

Sorry for the confusion of all the posts.

What they are meaning when they say wait to log is that when someone says "datalog" it usually means a full throttle run.

You can datalog anytime you like, all it does is record data. I want you to record this data so I can look at it and see what is going on. You can datalog when the car is stock, tuned, or missing a wheel.. lol.

Just drive the car stock, do a wot run and then send me the log. Then I will compare it to your tuned datalog.
