What have you done to your Ecoboosted vehicle today?

Decided to do a mild Adams paint correction today. It's getting there.

How does that look with the black metallic? Stand out in the sun?

It looks pretty decent, the Adams stuff is top notch. Paint correction, Machine sealant and then buttery wax. Hard to tell from the pic.

Nice you got all the orange peel out? I plan on doing this some time this summer or paying someone to do it if I can't get the time

No I wish lol, it does a bit better every time I do the correction. It much better then when I first got it. To get it all out would take a wet sand I think. Then again I don't think there is enough clear on the car to support that.

I believe the orange peel comes from the clear be nice to have a miller meter though to know how much till you get to the paint but I hate removing the protection.

It's been on for about 2 years. Had to touch it up a few times. But it's very durable.

How many coats did you apply? I have been considering do this to my wheels...

Today I removed the annoying double honk, added AWD display and removed the alert when you drive without seatbelt on.

I got this in today.  Having it installed tomorrow at Car1Auto in Hoffman Estates, IL.
EXPLORER SPORT LEVEL 2 PERFORMANCE PACK
- TUNER
- WINDSTORM COLD AIR INTAKE
- EVEN-FLO 160 DEGREE HIGH PERFORMANCE THERMOSTAT
- THUNDERSTORM DOWNPIPES
+ 3 BAR MAP SENSOR

According to mzimnicki@livernoismotorsports.com, I should get an extra 85 HP and 100 TQ to the wheels.  I wish I had the where with all to work on cars as I could have save a ton of money by now and done some more wonderful things to my EcoBoost Explorer but the guys at Car1Auto are the best and most honest.  I've been bringing my cars to them for 8 years now.

UPDATE:

Replaced K&N CAI with Windstorm CAI.  It's a much bigger filter than the K&N.  Also, Thunderstorm dowpipe has been installed and the Even-Flo Thermostat.  Now I'm just waiting for Livernois to get back to me with my tuner program.  As soon as I get that, I will of course input it into my Explorer and then replace the map sensor with a 3 Bar Map one that I got from Livernois as well.

As for the Explorer now, there's not much difference in the noise when you start up the engine as I left the stock mufflers.  What I do notice is that when I step on the gas pedal there is ZERO lag and the car is much more responsive now when I punch it on the highway.  I can only imagine how much more it's going to jump when the tune is installed.

I'll keep you all posted.
