What have you done to your Ecoboosted vehicle today?

Hawkeye helped me out as Z mentioned. That said ambient lighting won't work with your lights off. I thought mine was broken as well after I upgraded, but I had moved my headlight switch to the off position during the install and that kept the ambient lighting from working. It seemed so obvious afterwards I felt ridiculous. Maybe not the issue for you but thought it was worth mentioning.

Has anyone updated to sync 3? I'm having an issue with ambient lighting it doesn't work... It's supposedly came preprogrammed it does show my VIN under the settings but it won't work. Everything else works.

Any tips ?

Doing a trans drain and fill. I did one probably 10k ago, but figure since I only got out 4.5 quarts the first time around it wouldn't hurt to do it again after how many times it's been down the strip and through the summer in some hot hot hot temps. Looks a lil bit dark but still has a red tinge to it so it's probably still in good shape, but I got 12 quarts of mercon LV motorcraft fluid for free so can't hurt to do it!

Also found a bit of oil on the bottom of my rear turbo oil return line... Hoping it's just the gasket due to the fact that the turbos were replaced this year.. I did use new gaskets so here is hoping at least. Going to get that $2 part and slap it on before I go full send and replace the whole turbo

So day 4 done. About 90% done tomorrow is just hooking everything up and hiding all the wiring. It has been a hellish amount of work. Lots of man hours.

I have been having some wheel hop on WOT shifts from 1st to 2nd.  Starting doing the research, and came to the conclusion it was my trans shuttering.  So I went and got 6 quarts of Motorcraft Mercon LV trans fluid and did the 5 quart swap.  My trans fluid was pretty dark, but it didnt smell burnt.  Put the new 5 quarts in, and the shuttering as gone away.  Going to pick up another 12-15 quarts and cycle out the old fluid with new over the next couple of weeks.

I noticed a big difference in just the 5 quart swap.  I am heading back to the track on Friday with a couple more ideas on how to go faster lol.

Spent the day yesterday cleaning out the garage, putting the toys away and prepping for winter, as well as making space for the car.

The Front primary upstream (wideband) 02 sensors replaced @ roughly 14K as per OCD Specs. Lol.
The original 02 sensors were changed @ roughly 52-54K and look pretty much well done!
The ones changed today have roughy 12-14K on them IIRC and look pretty black while running rich which is ordinary especially while being tuned...

I think the 02 sensors since playing such a critical role should be changed more often and categorized under severe conditions in conjunction with your spark plugs IMO!
The one sensor can be changed from TOP of the engine and located between the fans, while the other sensor can be accessed through the passenger side front wheel well with the wheel removed while using your basic 7/8 inch or 22mm socket-wrench...

I purchased these front 02 sensors from www.rockauto.com a few days ago for a grand total of $110.00 for TWO!

These are the alternative to the original stock MOTORCRAFT DY1185 -8F9Z9F472H which are the exact fitment with the only difference is the longer harness length which comes in handy.

I'm a pretty happy camper since the prices have substantially increased on these bad boys. Z  :)

Prices below for comparison.

My god I can only imagine what mine look like. 53k and all the 100 octane race fuel I’ve run through them. Looks like one more thing to add to the list for the winter. Thanks for the pics Z

Its my pleasure, but if I tell you that you will notice an increase in power you will change them sooner than later since they control the AFR!  Z  :)
