What have you done to your Ecoboosted vehicle today?

So yesterday tore the car apart, intake and charge pipes removed, radiator drain. Basically just need to take off coolant hoses and intake manifold. Replace injector and intake manifold gaskets and reassemble then oil change just in case from fuel dilution. Better safe than sorry on that.

Jordan, how many miles does your car have?

About 132k miles on it. Sightly broken in.

Fingers crossed you caught it just in time!  Might as well replace them all.....upgrade time?
Ha! No upgrades for me. Stock injectors fine with upgraded turbos so no point because no upgraded big turbos. Don't know if I'll get to that point anyways

Says the guy with bigger turbos next year....

Lol in which stock injectors still good to go with those.

All the fuel injector failures..,seems like a lot...maybe it's not but it makes me wonder.  Upgrading all the fuel pumps its definitely in line to do the injectors as well.  Would that sort of equal the XDI60 pump....DW Injectors + XDI35 would be about 65% more flow

Talking with gearhead normally the fuel injectors get stuck open when fuel pressure is too low for a hot second (not the case in my scenario) so theoretically upgrading the hpfp itself is kind of upgrading the injectors. Figure it's just a long term use thing or fuel pressure dips that cause the problems. Just parts getting warn out. Kind of why I am just replacing one. Get it done and keep on trucking

Yarp,  the injector is cooled by the flow of the gas.  Excessive idling wears them extremely fast in high temp regions,  sudden loss of fuel is pretty harsh on them as well.

New injector in, painting intake manifold, oil change, new gaskets and new coolant. Waiting for paint to dry overnight then should be back together. Checked my carbon build up and while it is there it isn't horrendous so just not gonna deal with it right now. Figure if I ever go big turbos I'll also go methanol and that will clean that issue up.

Yes! Actually filmed the whole process. Been trying to think of new content for my Youtube channel. Not doing a DIY just kind of me working on the car and VLOGing it but here is some photos.

Not super difficult just a lot of little things. Definitely a good learning experience. Went in with no knowledge to just feel it out. Worked out pretty well so far
