What have you done to your Ecoboosted vehicle today?

I love your response to their offer to "take a look at it". Too damn funny.

Unfortunate in the short term, but long term? 'Tis a very very good thing you took it for a quick test drive.

Keep on looking there Tom and get back to doing stupid things with the Lincoln!!!

Tom...you can always look at a FoST, or THE FIST!

I am 6'5" 300 lbs.  lol

I am leaning towards getting a Fusion Energi so I can enjoy not only the MPG but the free electric driving for either myself or my wife.  I am at least somewhat comfortable in a Fusion.  Probably better to look at something newer than pick out some really cheap, high mileage problematic vehicle because I am cheap and always deal hunting.  lol

Tom, if you are looking for another EcoBoost, go with the Focus RS!! AWD 350/350 and a 6 speed manual!

My wife is rocking our MKT and wants something she can use as well so that would not be an option.  lol  I do really like them though.

For fun I briefly looked at the 2017 Ford C-Max Energi Limited. Then saw the larger battery chewed up the cargo area. Drove nice tho.

I am trying to avoid buying something that I would be tempted to modify because I lack the self control to not want to do that to it as well.  lol

been MIA here a bit, sorry about that! COVID has us going crazy, but the show must go on.

Attended the Mid America Ford and Shelby Nationals last weekend. 4 days of drag racing, open circuit high speed touring, cruises, a poker run, cruise night, and car show.

Here's a few pics from the event, I have more posted on my Instagram @Bewsted SHO. Go follow me :)

Wish we had more SHOs out, I only saw two others the whole event.

This car continues to impress me...

I set gas guzzle to sip last weekend, so I guess if you can keep out of the boost, these are a sensible family sedan.

I have never seen 32mpg.. good for you!
I see like 14 mpg lol!  But that's how I drive it..I don't ...then I floor it.  I do anticipate about 23 mpg highway and it serves me well when I plan driving to the strip 3 hours away and want to arrive with less than 50 miles to empty.  So I know how little to fuel up before I leave.

Best I have seen is 26 mpg on 91 octane averaging 75 mph.

On my last adventure to CA, on AJPTurbo's really spicy E30 tune I averaged roughly 20.4 mpg averaging 88 mph.

Tires were set to 44 psi, car was freshly washed, and cruise control was used for most of the freeway driving.

Oh trust me, this isn't the norm, it's usually 16-20ish depending on how far I've driven and I think adaptive cruise really helped me out because it would just slow down and pace the cars instead of doing the slow way down then speed back up.  I just wanted to see what it could do if I kept my foot off the long skinny pedal and trust me it was a MONUMENTAL task.  There were a couple of cars that looked like they were just itching to lose to a sensible family sedan.  The toughest was at a stop light where a charger and I were lined up first, but I'm pretty sure it was just a v6 (although he had a lot of stickers so  his HP was probably up there, ha!), it wasn't worth screwing up the MPG test.  But next time v6 or v8, they will hear a little brake boost and hopefully try to keep up, as I zip on down the road to Mexico.
